Coming from a large truck (crew cab Ram 1500 w/ 6.5ft bed) I'm an exception. I'm going to seriously miss the size and feel of the larger truck, but I can't argue with the gas savings. I don't need a 400hp V8 (although it was a blast to drive) and I drive close to 20k miles/year. I don't see the point of the 2.0 though, I definitely think there's too much size trade-off for the slight increase in fuel economy.

You have to be a fanboy to like the cyber truck. When I first saw it, I thought they pulled it from the movie set of Terminator 2: Judgment Day. I can easily picture a half Arnold Swarzenegger half cyborg face with red eyes driving it.
I actually don’t hate it, but the buttress design kinda seems a nuisance for bed usability. If i was sure self driving was going to be ready in a year or three i might go for a tesla, but it seems a ways off yet. I can’t justify the price for myself 😔

Different people, different strokes. I only like the model S. But I'm in agreement with another poster. Tesla's large infotainment screen is a turn off for me. It's gaudy and has no flow to the interior design of the dash.

The Ranger is terribly dated. When the refresh happens for 2023 I’d like to see them make it more like the F-Series look. I just really like that look. That’s one of the main reasons I went Mav. Still think they should have called it the F-50 or F-100.
I was wondering why they didn't go with the F-100 name. Not that I'm upset with name Maverick, it just seems odd that Ford didn't stick with F series numbering.

I had two Chevy S10s and the last of the good Colorados (2012) before they became huge. I know the value of a small truck. 250hp and 4k of towing is all I need. People always wanting more and the bigger is better motto is what got us $80k+ pickup trucks.

I don't get why anybody would ever buy the current Ranger. (The original small truck Ranger was a great small truck ) the current Ranger sucks as a big truck, it sucks as a small truck. Okay, the Ranger is the perfect truck for people who want a truck that sucks. I'll stick with the Maverick.

Like the Tacoma, it just doesn't do much for me. They're both "meh" trucks for me, even if they are more "capable" than the Maverick because they're so old.

The current Ranger front end looks like the older F150 to me... Rounded.. I don't care for that look; Ford should have squared it off like the new F150 and the Maverick... Just saying...

The F-150 is too much of a yacht for my needs and the Maverick isn't quite 'truck enough.' My perfect truck would be the size, capability, and utility of the Ranger with the Maverick cabin and styling. (A Mav Tremor would be tempting) Love so much of the Maverick, but the more I think about it the more I lean toward waiting for the Ranger redesign.

I'm driving a 2019 XLT Ranger. Going to a Maverick. For me, I am going to get $5-7k in my pocket and a better truck. I use the bed once every two weeks or so for lumber and landscaping stuff.

I anticipate the drive quality will be better on the Maverick - I do not care one bit about height or feeling big - but do care about better turning, tighter parking, maneuverability and noise. Some things I have found useless on my 2 year old Ranger are BLIS, adaptive cruise control, collision avoidance, Ford navigation. So this Maverick is going to be an upgrade for me in most ways.

The only thing I will miss from the Ranger is the front and rear parking sensors, they are awesome - I would dish out cash for dealer installed parking sensors to have them on the Maverick as well.

I'm curious, too. If you figure it out please share. Here's the page of Ranger results:

https://www.stgeorgeford.com/all-inventory/index.htm?compositeType=new&make=Ford&model=Ranger
Looks like they took an FX4 and put on different wheels and the Roush package, however much that costs. They don't even list how they got that MSRP and the listed note 1 seems to be nonexistent.

Around here some interpret MSRP and Market Selling Price...Not manufacturer so they just make it up!

I forgot the Mav doesn't have parking sensors. That is the one item that still blows my mind they left off in order to keep costs low. But my current car doesn't have any so I wont even know what I'm missing when the Mav arrives.
