My email finally came in!! I was about to pull the trigger on a different vehicle, but now there's hope.
Alto Blue Hybrid XLT w/ Luxury Package, copilot 360, moonroof, and sliding rear window.
Reserved June 12
Ordered June 23
Coming from a large truck (crew cab Ram 1500 w/ 6.5ft bed) I'm an exception. I'm going to seriously miss the size and feel of the larger truck, but I can't argue with the gas savings. I don't need a 400hp V8 (although it was a blast to drive) and I drive close to 20k miles/year. I don't see the...
My grandfather is a long time Ford technician, he said the escape hybrids will typically be around $3k to replace with a used battery pack. Probably $5k+ for a new one.
At the end of the day, we all ordered a 2022 vehicle with zero date given on when the FIRST ones would be built and sold beyond a very vague "Fall 2021". I ordered June 23rd with hopes of getting it this year, but if the builds that are scheduled are built and delivered as expected, we can't...
It will when the battery runs low, just like any hybrid. If you're pushing near the max that won't take long, but for small loads it will take much longer.
Totally different setup. It's theoretically possible that they'll improve the power delivery of the Maverick in the future, but not at this price point. A fairly minimalist f150 hybrid with the 7.2kw system will push $50k
This video made me switch. I was torn between CG and Alto when I ordered, went with CG, but I changed my mind after seeing good photo/video of both I love Alto Blue.
I've got basically the exact same build as you, Hybrid XLT lux 360, Carbonized grey (might switch to alto blue) and I put my order in June 23rd and still haven't been scheduled.
You've got to wait until your order is scheduled for production and you receive a VIN. Then you can add it to your account. It's not an automatic process.
I contacted Bak industries to ask if they were making a Revolver cover for the Maverick, as I had one on my Ram and was extremely happy with it. They told me that their engineers were working on developing one but they do not have an ETA. I want the security of a hard cover, but the ability to...
I thought so too, but considering the price to order is about the same price I paid for the one on my last truck I didn't want to preorder before seeing it. If it is the same or similar quality I'll buy an OEM cover when I take delivery.
Hard roll-up bed cover, preferably a Bak Revolver x2/x4. I didn't order the OEM one because I haven't seen it and I want to see what aftermarket options come up.
I sold my Ram to the dealership when I placed my order for the Maverick last month. They offered $32k for the truck that I bought last year during the crash for $25k. That gives me a bit over $7k to put down on the Maverick. My neighbor has been begging for someone to drive his old beater Mazda...
That's what the carpet on the tailgate is for. I'd back up to the lake to catch catfish and just sit on the tailgate. The deck holds a cooler inside and has a bottle opener.
I had a Decked setup in my Ram. I had T-tracks screwed down and used those to mount heavy duty rod holders. I'm going to screw a T-track to a painted 2x4 and use the molded in slots in the bed. Made 3 hour highway trips no problem.
