So after 3 years 8 months and 75k miles I sold my Maverick. It was a 2022 XLT 2.0/AWD/4k tow/lux/sunroof and sliding window in Cactus grey.
As a continuation of my previous reviews, I still have electronic gremlins such as the radio turning off randomly or not turning off at all (even when...
A loaded up AWD Lariat with 4k and sunroof is almost $41k, about where I thought. Just waiting for the pro-trailer option to be available and see how much that adds!
It's rated for 2000 lb, so stay below that, I don't think you have a brake controller, so anything light enough to not need brakes or that just has a friction brake. My sister tows a motorcycle trailer and the occasional uhaul small enclosed trailer.
I didn't have the measurement of the tongue weight, but you can see a little sag in the rear end. I did have a bunch of gear in the bed, since the trailer was a rental, I had loaded up the Mav with everything needed and just hooked up the empty trailer, though they had fill the fresh water tanks.
So I used my Maverick for an easy trip here in Florida. It's 2022 2.0 EB AWD with 4k tow. The trailer was rented from Cruise America and is about 20 ft long and 3k empty weight. Travel was 70 Miles each way through some back and city roads and highway.
The Mav pulled easy and never...
Thanks for the input everyone. The tires were replaced around 30k, and all was fine for the next 15k. It's only around the last 5k or so that I've noticed the mpg drop. I do need to replace my air filter, mine isn't dirty, but I'll do that anyways. Probably warranted with the sand and such...
Nope, same gas stations, same 10% ethanol. Tires are different than when new, but now have 18k miles on them, so not a change there either. Only other item is at my last oil change they said I'm ready for all the other stuff (fuel injector cleaning and such). But I'm away from getting that...
Mine is a 2022, picked it up Dec 2021. So it's an early one. I think I got a little over 30k on the Scorpions. They were replaced, not because of wear, but I picked up a razor blade in the sidewall so they all had to be replaced. I have BF Goodrich Advantage T/As on them now and I think they...
I wouldn't call it sucky at all. It is still a truck that I carry my kayaks in and moved my daughter twice and many other trips! Just that it's dropped since I was at 30k and 40k. Oh, and I don't use premium fuel!
Ok, it's been a bit since I've posted, been busy out driving, maybe not as much, but still on the go. I actually hit 50k at the beginning of the month, so that would be in about 29 months of ownership.
This is mostly an incremental update and comparison and doesn't differ too much from my...
Lowered price. I haven't been around much, my replacement has been delayed, and I haven't been able to catch up with the few that messaged me to meet and check it out.
