  1. Maverick is like a Flex

I always have thought the Flex was pretty cool. A mix of SUV and soccer Mom mini van. I liked the style. One could order the Flex very loaded... not so much the Maverick.
  2. Chipped, cracked windsheilds

If you can get the dealer to service a vehicle... in my case every time they're subbed it out to a glass shop.
  3. Chipped, cracked windsheilds

We are now a two Lariat Maverick family. 22 Cactus Grey .. and now 11 months 2 weeks later after placing order, a Cyber Orange 2023 Lariat Maverick. I am absolutely convinced the windshield glass in the Lariat Maverick is either soft or brittle or some combination thereof. I have had vehicles...
  4. Cyber Orange Maverick Gets Purple Stripes and Tailgate Lettering

What you mean school bus.... Btw... 796 miles and got a stone chip in the windshield. This is our second Maverick in the family ... and Maverick number one (22 Cactus grey Lariat) has been having an ongoing issue with crack windshields three replacements and seven chip repairs. This vehicle...
  5. CYBER ORANGE Maverick Photos / Club

I bring my Cyber Orange home tomorrow. 11 months, 5 days from when ordered. (Cactus Gray took 8 months ... Cyber Orange was a different dealer who was NOT willing to bump the priority to 10.. but was willing to take X-plan and Cactus Grey was no longer willing to do such.... Two friends who...
  6. 2 Maverick Family

Same here... 22 Cactus grey, 23 Cyber Orange. Both loaded Lariat Hybrids
  7. Finally on the Railcar

Update: got ahold of my dealer and explained that.... hey it's been 2 weeks since it was built...and I had my 2022 in 10 days... From build to sitting in my drive way.... So can you find out what the issue is.... And yes I understand to get to Tucson they leave Hermosillo go North to Phoenix on...
  8. Finally on the Railcar

How long did you wait from Built to Shipped? On my 2022, it was less than a week. On my 2023 I'm in week two..... and counting.
  9. 10 Things You May Not Know About Your Maverick

This is true. I am living proof. She's keeping the Cactus Gray 2022 and I will have my Cyber Orange 2023 next month.
  10. Dealer fees

All total, including fee reduction, discount on MSRP etc, X-plan saved me $1,500 on the 2022 and it is about the same on the 2023.... Well, in theroy! With the 2023 I doubt I could have ordered a more constrained Maverick... One might think I took the constrained options list and got two of...
  11. Dealer fees

$100. On my 2022, and on the sales agreement on on the 2023 that I probably will not be see until 2024... If ever. Btw, Two different dealers...... BUT... (notice it's a big But) I was able to take advantage on X-plan which limits dealer fees to $100. Always research to find out if you...
  12. My dealer claims there's a recall on my Maverick and he can't sell it

I can see why my post you referenced is confusing. I failed to quote the post I was responding.... Context does make a difference! No 4chan required :-).
  13. My dealer claims there's a recall on my Maverick and he can't sell it

Let's say no, that the dealer bulked, and they were only willing to have a signed acknowledgment of order placed, with all the details and options of the vehicle and the buyers name and on dealers letterhead ... and a signed receipt of deposit.
  14. My dealer claims there's a recall on my Maverick and he can't sell it

That is great advice..... And to take it a step further get a signed sales agreement when placing the order. That locks everything down tight. Ok damn... I miss the part where the OP went on vacation for 10 days after the Maverick arrived! That does indeed put a different light on the situation.
  15. My dealer claims there's a recall on my Maverick and he can't sell it

I get that an agreement is not a legal term, in your opinion at what point does an agreement become a contract when it's written and signed by both parties and there's a deposit involved and both parties interests are served?
  16. My dealer claims there's a recall on my Maverick and he can't sell it

LOL.... Well if you put it that way Ken.... And I didn't just go by what a BS dealer told me, .... I also went by what I've read on the internet and we all know everything on the internet is true! My life experiences have taught me, including my time working at a dealership, to paraphrase...
  17. My dealer claims there's a recall on my Maverick and he can't sell it

Then it seems my information is dated. I know it applied in 2022 and I know it was still in effect on my 2023 order.... Or this is why I got told by the general manager of the Ford dealership I ended up ordering my 2023 from. We got into it because I got a priority 19. Long story short is, his...
  18. My dealer claims there's a recall on my Maverick and he can't sell it

In the case of the Maverick, the orders totals do not go against allotment or flooring, that is why Ford requires ID on each order to keep dealers from gaming the system. I too worked at the dealership level in the late 90s and still have friends in the industry. The question is, does the OP...
  19. Lariat Owners: Was It Worth The Extra $$?

Simple answer, yes. Visually the faux leather seats are very pretty. From a practical point of view I probably would have chosen cloth if I could have gotten them because I live in the desert. Otherwise the seats are very comfortable. Had there been a cool seat option and a seat that was more...
