Ute Lite... maybe Micro-ute... Or Micrute to save time. Trucklette is perfect for the American market tbh.
Also they chose Maverick because it tracked well with their target demographic, which has never heard of a Ford Maverick or Ranchero.

Mav is more of a spiritual successor to the Subie Brat ;)
Also, trucks keep getting larger for safety/tech/features/rotund customers imo. Old trucks are smaller because they're death traps with knobs and levers :)
Also also, I'd love to find an old ranger to play with but everything here is...
You're not driving a marshmallow, a sports car, or an old ranger, it is a crossover with a bed and it drives like it. Picture an escape, make it slightly stiffer and much longer. That's how it drives.

The ride is better than the fit and finish of...
A little Mav biased in the last test as he handled it better and gave it some forward momentum to start, but overall should be informative for many. Closing in on $40k, Mav gets too close to its older brothers as a truck and too close to well-equipped crossovers as a people hauler to be of...
I'd say the chance is very slim. Tuning is pretty niche and Mav isn't really aimed at a performance-seeking demographic in any capacity imo. I'll change my vote if they cook up some kind of Mav Tremor or Mav ST, though.
