Had the same dead Mav Hybrid problem, got towed to dealer. Just got word after a few days there.
They said fusebox OR cable harness problem (unsure until parts replaced) HOWEVER parts are on back order, MAYBE will arrive in September. Meantime, they gave me a loaner.
Ordered my Mav last August, got it in February; I guess early production models not fully tested!
Wow you ordered in August and received it in February!!! good for you

glad that you got the "well-deserved" loaner. Good luck with repair.

Add me to the list. Just happened yesterday. Ordered in July '21, picked up Jan 15th. I have an 8am service appointment tomorrow, pickup-delivery with loaner. They'll be tackling this and the new recall I just got notice of yesterday evening. I drive 2 young kids around so dropping down to 1 vehicle is not gonna go over well, and hopefully this gets fixed quickly. Will report back with the results.

Add me, too! Happened 4 days ago. Went out to go shopping and it was dead. No deep sleep mode warning, no check engine light, etc. Put MM on 12 volt under seat and it read 12.3 volts. MM read 3.3 volts on charging posts. Ordered jump starter from Walmart and placed it on charging posts this AM. Truck immediately turned on. No point in driving it around, so I kept it on for 5 min then turned ignition off. Waited a few min and tried to turn it on. Dead again. I'll be calling the dealer ASAP. My question is, why isn't Ford doing a recall concerning this faulty wire harness, just to do a wiggle test, if nothing else?

"My question is, why isn't Ford doing a recall concerning this faulty wire harness, just to do a wiggle test, if nothing else?" From what I know, because they don't have to! Be sure to report to report your incident: https://www.nhtsa.gov/report-a-safety-problem#index

I bought a jump box and was able to bring my truck back to life as well. But as soon as I turned it off after about 10 minutes of hybrid driving (engine running the whole time), it died again. I'm suspecting whatever connects the 12vdc battery to the under-the-hood fuse box is where the connection issue is. And this may be why it isn't charging the battery up anymore while running (didn't drop voltage, but didn't go up anymore either). I had the same exact indications (2.5vdc at the jump posts and 12.6 at the battery terminals). When I pulled up the fuze box, there is a wire under there that seems to be the issue. The connection was tight, but the wire itself seems wiggly. I'm still researching, but that is where I think my problem is. Afraid to touch it too much so as to not void any warranty.
So, to follow up on my issue. It died on 5 July 2022 at 6438 miles. Called on 11 July to get an appointment. Got it in the shop on the 26 July. Got a loaner car (brand new Edge with 200 miles on it). They troubleshot it and came to the same conclusion: the battery harness. The part was on backorder so they emergency purchased it.

So happy to get my truck back today (8/31/2022). They replaced the battery harness from the battery positive terminal to the battery junction box. Reset the codes and everything ran fine. They performed the recall fix for the engine oil vapors, changed the oil, and performed the first service. So glad to be driving my Mav again. Love my truck. No cost for the repairs or service.

Something you might want to tell your dealer.... do not order a new cable - it might have the same problem. My dealer (Walker Ford in Clearwater FL), said they just got a new lug and "crimped the hell out of it" to replace the faulty lug. Better to fix the cable... because it is not the problem, it is simply the lousy way they tried to spot weld a stranded aluminum cable to a flat plate on the lug. Crimped is way better, and they can fix that in minutes.

ALSO, I bought a small 12V jump box. If you put 12 volts on the jumper lugs under the hood, the truck will start right up. It's like the computers just needs the 12V to get going and then the hybrid battery runs the show after that.

A week of off and on deep sleep
Mode, the dealer had no resolution. Said it could be due to my after market dash cam or running apps. I don’t have the dash cam hard wired and don’t use any apps as car play doesn’t usually work so I don’t bother.

I think you hit the nail on the head. Previously it seemed that it would have been a bad batch of cables and fairly easy to contain on Ford's end. After reading of a few regular posters' "Mine died today too." stories it seems like a bigger issue.

Cheers.
I wonder if they have totally fixed it with the new builds yet?

I would certainly think so given the number of warranty claims on it and the length of time it's been going on. No hope for them if it's not sorted at this point.

Cheers.

Hi there, Jen. Can you send us a DM with your VIN and dealership information? I can look into things on my end.

Update I Just got my Maverick back today but I'm not confident its fixed it yet. Got a call this morning truck was fixed and they'd send someone by in 30 mins after it gets washed. 30 minutes later they called and said it happened again after the wash, tech parked it and poof power out. I urged them to take another look at the wire harness like I did the first time. Got a call 30 minutes later, all fixed dropping off in 20 minutes... I asked them what they did to fix it, and he said the harness was loose so they just tightened it. That's it. They had it for almost 2 weeks and a wrong ordered part to just tighten something. I fully expect this to be happening again
