I had the same problem getting my HP laptop, running Win 11, to recognize my USB adapter. I searched and found the driver using Google. It's CH340. You must have your adapter plugged into your computer before installing it.
I've been downloading and listening to audiobooks for years now from "audiobookbay.lu". They come in mp3 or m4b formats that I write to SD cards or USB thumb drives. These books are all free downloads.
Mav47, I appreciate your input on this, but I think you're wrong in my case. That voltmeter was reading 12.8, then 12.7, and so on, until I arrived back home, at which time it read 12.5v. I'm certain, had I continued driving the truck, it would have shut down on me. That voltmeter saved me a ton...
I'm going to have to reluctantly disagree here. Due to this charging system and my 80 year old retired driving style, I've managed to sulfate both my OEM and subsequent AGM batteries. Latest episode was when I had recharged my UPlus AGM and was heading on a 20 mile drive to Hines VA hospital. I...
It's the charging system alright. I bought one of those Uplus AGM batteries last Oct and in the last 5 weeks I've had several deep sleep notifications only to find the truck's battery totally dead the next day! Multimeter shows 5.32v. Not going to bother contacting Uplus people, as I've heard...
You've got to order the battery anyway. You'll receive an email from UPlus stating you should order a larger AGM battery. I replied that I had a hybrid 2.5L Atkinson and electric motors and the Uplus H4 AGM was an exact fit for the OEM battery. They promptly shipped the H4 battery.
T-Bone, the polarity reverser came with the 2 ft power socket. There is no inline fuse here. I live in a trailer park and the 15 ft SAE to SAE cable is perfect fit for my needs. The new AGM UPlus battery is topped off and I won't need to drive until Monday. We'll see how it holds its charge...
I ran into this problem some years back and used the fense post as well. What made it better was when I rested the other end of the 4 way wrench onto the V of an ajustable jack stand. I was more afraid of sheering off the lugs than anything else. Worked like a charm.
I have one of the early built (10/21) Mavs and it's had all the problems we've seen on the forum. Had the harness failure twice in a year's time. But it's been the constant Deep Sleep Mode notifications, every other day, that have plagued me all these many months. I normally drive every 2nd or...
Thanks so much for this spredsheet of tweaks. I've been waiting for someone to compile one for 2 years now. Is there a way I can print out these pages and have a hard copy. .jpg or .pdf.
It's insane what I have to pay here in a Chicago suburb. I have full coverage from Pregressive, with $1,000 deductible. I'll be 80 in May and I've been driving since 17, and I've never had an accident! Just received my 6 month policy renewel.....$969.50!
I'm most likely the oldest on the forum at 79. I drove off the lot on 1/6/22 and have put on a whopping 1,800 miles so far. It's a wonderful truck and my only regret is it's come 20 years late for me!
