Did you have the 23E09 emissions recall performed? It can involve up to five modules being updated, and completely eliminated the low speed, very occasional, bad transition to hydraulic braking on mine. The brakes still bite very hard on the first stops when wet, but that is a pad/rotor...
I do use the oil life monitor, but change the oil when it reads 50% life remaining. Generally comes in around 6000 miles/10000 kms. The head mechanic at my Ford dealer says he and all the other techs. change theirs at 40% remaining.
Came across this video, seems like a pretty straight...
The wheel and liner don't have to be removed. Turning the wheels to the left gives enough access. I used a funnel and some 1/2" tubing for the fill. As easy as a regular oil change, no filter mess.
Cheers.
MIne drained 4 quarts and took 4. Not sure what the total capacity is, but the parts dept. indicated 5. Returned one, but good to have on hand for the change.
Cheers.
Fortunately our brakes (assuming the ecoboost is the same as the hybrid) have rubber bushes for the caliper guide pins to run in. Should make them less prone to seizing due to road deicer, which would be my only concern at that distance after winter driving.
Cheers.
Great information on this issue, thanks for posting it!
It would be nice to see Ford reach out to those that got the problematic code and have it replaced prior to having the vehicle fail, especially since it creates a safety issue for the owners affected.
23E09 on mine in October '23 and no...
Thanks for providing the correct spec.'s, much appreciated!
Anyone doing their trans. fluid please ignore the torque spec. shown in post #21 of this thread and see BlueSpec1's info.
Cheers.
Did my transmission fluid today, 52,000 km. Looked in great condition, doing it again I might wait until 80k kms. Drained and refilled almost exactly 4 quarts.
I used a long hose and funnel through the wheel well to refill the transmission. It accepted it fairly slowly, added about 1/2 litre...
If you get the 1 1/4" bar on the 1Up rack you can flip it in the supplied 2" adapter to give enough clearance for the tailgate to be lowered to the mid position. With the "rotation stopper bolts" removed and the bike rack rotated down you can lower the tailgate all the way.
Cheers.
There can be four other modules besides the PCM updated in recall 23E09.
Had this recall performed on my '22 XL when it first became available, since it was the only avenue to have the other modules (BECM, SOBDM, SOBDM-C, and specifically the ABS) updated, at the time anyway. Needed to be...
Try searching the forums for AGM or battery replacement. Lots of posts on the subject. My understanding is the ACDelco LN1AGM fits with no modifications.
Maybe try fully charging the original battery, with an external charger, then resetting the BMS.
Cheers.
Well IDK, search up Prius Gen. 3 head gasket. Most every one is going to fail due to so many heat cycles in the hybrid (been there). Ignore it long enough and chances are you will bend the #1 connecting rod. Also recalled for inverter failures. Every manufacturer has some issues. I still...
I had the exact same thing happen a few months ago.
Truck sat for a day and a half, with nothing on, no electrical accessories installed. Came out to a stone dead truck, with the battery showing 3v at the terminals. Pulled out the battery, smart charger wouldn't even recognize it, so charged...
