Yeah I recall the Escape drive modes differ a little so in order to get the Maverick drive modes to work correctly, you have to actually disable one of them. Let me see if I can find that post.
Edit* here it is in this thread...
Precisely why I gave up on it. Now the heated steering wheel I will get working eventually, I'm just lazy and haven't touched it in 12 months.
Thanks I'll take a look!
It's been a while but when I started down this path I realized how difficult and expensive it would be since there is no wiring harness under my XL seats to make this work. I had purchased 2x oem heating elements, wasted $$.
I would love to know more about this, I would totally do it for $100 :).
It may not say the dynamic startup sequence but the videos posted on it show it does. I just ordered one and says it will arrive tomorrow for $18, so we'll see how it goes. With how simple and quick the install is, this should take but a few minutes. Will post with results.
I was looking at adding heated elements to my seat and found that the harness does not have those wires/connectors. I doubt this can be done without running a bunch of wires and buying some harnesses.
I wonder what this means for me who already ran into this issue with the vehicle dying on me and getting stranded. I had my local dealership fix my vehicle and I believe all they did was tighten the connection, stating it was loose. It's been working okay for the past few weeks but I did have...
I haven't unfortunately. Yes one from an escape. The steering wheel should only need one wiring harness add-on I just haven't gotten around to it. I fear I may not before winter hits. I've just about given up on he heated seats though. The elements aren't in my seats nor are the wiring harnesses.
I have a Noco jump starter and it didn't work which sucked. No clue why. But yeah, I'm driving around with jumper cables and one of those for the next few years. Winters coming to Chicago soon enough, if I get stranded again with this I'm going to be very mad.
Update I Just got my Maverick back today but I'm not confident its fixed it yet. Got a call this morning truck was fixed and they'd send someone by in 30 mins after it gets washed. 30 minutes later they called and said it happened again after the wash, tech parked it and poof power out. I urged...

Update #1 So they gave me a decked out explorer which is nice. They say it's the high voltage fusebox something or other that needs replacing. Parts on order, should be fixed in a week.
Add me to the list. Just happened yesterday. Ordered in July '21, picked up Jan 15th. I have an 8am service appointment tomorrow, pickup-delivery with loaner. They'll be tackling this and the new recall I just got notice of yesterday evening. I drive 2 young kids around so dropping down to 1...
I tried wiggling that cable around, squeezing it etc.. all without really trying to do anything damaging or permanent and nothing changed. I have a service appointment tomorrow at 8am, pickup-delivery + loaner since I'm coupling it with the recall I just received in the mail yesterday evening...
