It's an evolution. I'm to the point where I'm trying to get rid of a lot of stuff. And, I just helped a friend set up a new tent that almost set itself up- lay it down and pick up the center part and viola! I have a cooler that I can plug into the 120v outlet in the bed which is nice.
Me too. It's nice to experience both ways; minimalist and a little more luxurious. With canoe camping you can have both. I wish the Maverick had a little longer bed for sleeping in.
If I sell my '24 it's because they came out with a SuperCab. My bitchin' is kinda redundant at this point and I don't have too many complaints. At 50mpg (local driving) I'm pretty happy. I'm thankful for all the tips and help. I was going a little crazy in the early days with my first Maverick...
I like it but kinda pricy. I have some aluminum 2x4 channel I could do that with but sealing around the window area would be tricky. I suppose nothing a few tube's of caulk couldn't fix. Or, you could go el cheapo and use wood 2x4s.
I liked my SuperCab and longer bed too but I think my Maverick is nicer. More comfortable fore sure. Perhaps they didn't make that configuration because the unibody couldn't hack the heavier loads that a bigger bed would enable.
The 2.5 does have that top end modification for the Atkinson cycle engine but otherwise, yeah. I'm happy with the port injection on the hybrid for its reliability but I am going to take a look at my fuel line before the rail on top of the engine per that post about its fail (that leak).
