I'd report every instance to my dealer so enough groundswell creates a TSB on the cable and it's faulty soldering points.

The Bronco crowd (15 owners) makes enough noise that the Government is looking into it. I wonder if we have more than 15 hybrid owners?

Hi there! This doesn't sound like an experience we want you to have with your Maverick. Could you please send us a PM with your VIN and the name and location of your Ford dealer? I'd be happy to look into this for you on my end.

Dang Ford! We've been having all sort of bad experience with this truck! A lot of us are still waiting and now with the hybrid issue, I feel like I'm just waiting for a big headache to come on.

Please sort out all this ordering and processing issues along with the dead battery issues.

P.S. Does the 2023 model include an AWD PHEV Hybrid Maverick?

I have been asked over two dozen times about my Maverick and would I recommend buying one.

My answer is I can't say yes or no at this time. I send them to MAVERICK TRUCK CLUB FORUM and tell them to make up their own mind.

I'd hate to be a dealer service tech working on a Maverick. All these owners that know every nuance of the truck. I'd pray they assign me an EcoSport customer that has no emotional connection with the vehicle......

With about 40,000 Mavericks registered in the US, NHTSA will take owner complaints, investigate them independently, then advise Ford what their decision would be regarding if it qualifies for a recall or a TSB.

Suing Ford is stupid, could cost more going through the lawsuit then the vehicle is worth.

Can that be left plugged in all the time? Any chance of it draining the battery? I’ve never used one before.

Full time. When you turn the truck off within 5 minutes the cigarette socket goes dead.
