Deep sleep issues are definitely cold weather related, or at least they seem to be.
My Maverick lives in a climate controlled garage and I drive it almost every day. I still get the issue every ~10 days at which point I put a charger on the battery...

no option for both
Option needs to choose EB/HB XL/XLT/LAR STD/LUX Maybe wind up with something like EB-XL-STD&HB-XLT-LUX(3) or something. At least 1EB-3HB to show how many of what. That would be nice to know if poop scoop company has 30 or 40 of what.🤗

Two months after my hybrid received a new wire harness due to the well documented TSB, it died again after sitting for 2 weeks in an airport parking garage.

This time it wouldn't even jump start (and I became quite familiar with jump starting it previously). Tried two different jump packs and the old fashioned way with another running car. Accessory power came on when the jumpers were connected but unlike before, the Maverick wouldn't crank. Dashboard warnings included "Charging System Service Now" and "Stop Safely Now."

Other notes:
1. Maverick is a Lariat hybrid with push button start.
2. 12V battery voltage was below 7.0 both at the battery and under the hood! Similar voltage at both locations.
3. As with much of the US, it was cold but not what I would consider a unique use case. It dipped to 18 deg F two nights during this time and was over 40 deg F when I tried to start it.
4. No "Deep Sleep" warnings from the FordPass app prior to not starting.
5. GPS location was wonky for the first time ever. A couple days into the trip I checked the FordPass app and the vehicle location was a couple blocks from my house, not where I had left it. At the time, I attributed it to a poor signal due to being in a parking garage, but it has correctly reported its location in other garages.
6. Vehicle has sat unused for 3+ weeks before with no issues, but at my house in the summer within WiFi range.

My best guess is the HVB SOC dropped below the minimum needed to crank the ICE, or the HVB wiring degraded to create a similar condition. Either that or the vehicle somehow recognized the 12V battery was so hosed it wouldn't allow it to start even while jumping.

Thoughts? Anyone else experience anything similar?
I’m on my second 12V battery after the first was said to be a bad battery. About the same amount of time has passed that the first one started to give me issues and I’m getting the deep sleep message/ vehicle needs a jump. I’m starting to thing there is also something within the system that’s draining/ killing the 12V battery. Has anyone else have that issue?

I know there was someone here that posted that Ford was working on a software update for possible power issues. Maybe that's the real issue for people who don't have the wire harness problem?

2nd trip in. Well, I have the deep sleep issue also. It was just locks and dome light till "Big Chill" now dash lights have joined the party. Guessing speed is tough. My Hybrid goes into shop tomorrow (1/10/22 ). I bought a charger, but waiting till after appointment. For Diagnosis?

Woke up this morning to go to appointment. Opened the app to start because I was being lazy and didn't want to scrape the windows!!! It was 26 degrees out, Deep sleep message greeted me telling me to start manually, No start. Nothing. Drove it over 100 miles Saturday, no problems. This is the first problem I've had in having the truck in three months. When it was in single digit temps, not one problem. Called Ford roadside, they sent someone out with a jump box, started right up. Went to the dealership, service advisor thinks its the wire harness. Soonest they can get me an appointment February 14th(I'm not a real happy camper about it!!!). So my next stop was buy a Noco because I don't want to be stranded if I can do something.

Hi there! Would you send us a private message with your VIN and dealership name and location? I’d like to look into this concern on my end.

Mine went into Deep sleep 5 times on Saturday lol (lots of little short trips). Sunday I had a longer drive (a little over 20 miles) and when I got home all the interior lights worked as they should and no more deep sleep message. It will go into deep sleep at some point again this week since I'm not driving it until this weekend. Seems you have to drive 20 miles a day for it not to go into deep sleep.... Is there away to completely turn off all the ford pass connectivity features or only have it connect when the vehicle is powered on? When I tried on mine it wouldn't let me. Only thing I could turn off was wifi.

I believe the software update is to solve the problem of the hybrid going into deep sleep whenever it detects the battery being drained and less to do with absolutely no power to the vehicle which is typical of the harness issue. Software will probably address the truck's battery management system. Now, when we will see that update is another thing.

I had the same experience except the weather was fine, but I can empathize with you being stuck in the cold. Had Ford Pass come out to jump it and immediately drove to my dealer. Harness problem. Haven't had the problem since.
At this point, every Maverick hybrid owner should invest in a good jump starter. I bought a Hulkman 8.5. Overkill for the Mav, but useful for my RV. The NOCO's are good, too.

Well, this morning was like ground hogs day. repeat of Monday morning. Drove it out to the dealership. Spoke with the service manager, I was less then friendly. He didn't have any loaner cars available, I was like as long as it starts, I don't car if its a Pinto!!! They called Me back in less then 2 hours, found a 23 F150 to be a loaner. Now the wait and see....

so, does the anyone know if the computer stores the fact that the trucks have gone into deep sleep mode out of curiosity? Would the tech be able to see for a fact that it did?
