  1. Towed the car in 16' trailer with ease.

Is there really a need for you to make asinine character attacks to make a point? By your reasoning, we have no need for laws or safety guidelines if we all just use common sense. The risk level driving a hybrid compared to driving an overloaded vehicle is not the same. It seems all you're...
  2. Maverick vs 2024 Tacoma comparison review | When Full Size is TOO MUCH

Thanks for your insights and comments. The comparison is clearly between the Maverick hybrid and an off road capable Tacoma. (See my screenshot of the title screen). I did not go deep into the video, so perhaps a different title screen is needed to target more of what the video was trying to...
  3. What is this?

I'm thinking the dealer had not a clue what it was either.
  4. Towed the car in 16' trailer with ease.

I get what you're saying, but these load limits are not generated from a dartboard. Those who designed and engineered these vehicles have much more than experience (as much as you may have) behind their recommendations. There is no "experience" or "common sense" column in the load capacity...
  5. Maverick vs 2024 Tacoma comparison review | When Full Size is TOO MUCH

I don't see how one can compare the Maverick hybrid to their off-road Tacoma. They're not comparable vehicles. 'While I appreciate the post, I think the video is downright silly. Compare that Tacoma to the Maverick Tremor and you might have a video worth my time.
  6. Off-roading with Maverick Tremor at Hidden Falls Adventure Park

I did. Thanks for educating me.
  7. Towed the car in 16' trailer with ease.

While I compliment the Maverick on its towing abilities, I just have a problem with pushing the limits. So many variations one can encounter on the road; crosswinds, caught in between two semis, road debri/hazards, etc., that can make an already borderline tow situation unstable and lead to a...
  8. Maverick Tremor in the Dunes at Superstition Mountain

Maverick looks like it was born there.
  9. BYOG (Bring Your Own Garage) - Trailer Towing

    Hahaha! Brilliant!
  10. 12V battery type

Lots going on for you . . . pride of ownership, self-respect and valuing the hard work you put in to purchase the vehicle. Also, and perhaps not as apparent, respect for those who labored to design and build it. In many ways our possessions are an extension of ourselves and how we view the world.
  11. Auto Headlamp Setting Problem

That's interesting as Lasfit was saying the T3's would work. I guess one could press the argument that they didn't say for how long.
  12. Mystery switches.

I would say we're splitting hairs here. Seems like it boils down to one's definition of Auto-Start/Stop.
  13. Heads Up Display

Very similar to the Temu HUD at the same price point. Good hunting!
  14. Maverick Hybrid Died on Freeway this Morning - Completely Unanticipated

There are some CEO's who do look at their emails or at least have issues brought to their attention by a subordinate. I once had an issue with B of A and wrote to the CEO. I had a response the next day and problem was taken care of, so it's worth an email.
  15. Heads Up Display

I purchased the $10 HUD from Temu and it worked fine for about two weeks and then it started to off-read my mph by 20-30 units. Got a refund and applied it to a bit more expensive unit $18 and it seems to keep a better GPS reading. Time will tell.
  16. Ford recalls 456K vehicles due to loss of drive power (undetected low battery issue); includes 2022-2023 Maverick Ecoboost & Hybrid

I suppose one should expect something like this since this is the first year Ford has started putting 12v batteries in cars. Oh, wait . . .
  17. 12V battery type

Has it been that long? No doubt, we needed the rain to roll back the drought, but it will be nice to see the sun and like you I'm looking forward to sprucing up the Maverick. Probably time for another ceramic spray on coat. Looking forward to seeing your rig.
  18. Anyone else looking for a Hybrid Energy Monitor?

We do? I'll have to explore that more closely. I don't see how an app would be able to access that information as suggested by another member. Seems to me it would have to have some connection to the Maverick's computers and not just your phone, but I've learned to never underestimate the...
  19. 12V battery type

Oh, I knew that. I was pulling your leg a bit. Be well.
