My lariat hybrid like others is now dead and at the dealer. November build with 3500 miles, drove fine with an occasional connectivity issue with my phone and a random alert about low power and to start it as normal...until two Mondays ago, when I got in to go to work and it was dead. It did make about 100 weird clicky noises in no particular rhythm, and when I turned on the AC the lights on the head unit activated, but no blower etc. All other functions dead. Jumped it last Wednesday and got it to the dealer, they couldn't look at it until this week. TSB was completed as tech told me there is a TSB for a known battery drain issue on the hybrid Mav. New battery installed as well as new software package. Tech called this past Monday and said truck looks good after work was done but they wanted to keep it overnight to verify all is good in the AM. At 0155 in the morning Ford Pass indicates that its back in deep sleep mode. Tech calls with the bad news the next day...standing by for next update. 🤷‍♂️ 😪

@Ford, no need to reach out as I already relayed VIN info etc. via PM and I am working with one of your social media associates, who assigned a case # and sent info to tech support. I just wanted to alert the forum of the issue.
I have been dealing with a phantom power drain issue 5 months 5,000 miles. Dropped it off wed so it can sit there for 2 days and they can duplicate the drain. Usually takes about 20 hours for me to wake up to a dead new truck. NOCO boost works amazing. Waiting on dealer to try to start it up this morning and see what they find. Just frustrating because I love the truck otherwise

If you read it carefully, that notice is telling folks to uninstall the "3rd Party" app that is causing the problem, not the Ford Pass (or Lincoln Way) app. Huge difference.

If the Ford Pass app isn't active and communicating with the truck, I don't see how it could possibly be causing a battery drain. But a 3rd party app that activates Ford Pass to create the communication link, and then leaves it active and running in the background so it can communicate with the truck - that could definitely cause a battery drain, as Ford is saying in SSM 50804.

This concern is one of the reasons that I make sure I actually unload the Ford Pass app from memory when I'm done using it - every time I use it. On an iPhone, you just swipe up on the app on the iPhone to "discard" it. (I'm not sure how you do that on Android, since I don't use it). And that MIGHT be why I've never seen the Deep Sleep issue with my Hybrid. I wonder if those who ARE experiencing the Deep Sleep issue are leaving Ford Pass running on their phones? If so, closing the app completely might make a difference?

I just shut off apple pay, wifi connection and bluetooth (on phone and truck) and Issue seems to have resolved no more dead battery so far
