Broke 10k mikes just before Christmas, with my routine and heavy foot I'm a steady 27.5 MPG without trying - and always with 87 octane.

oddly I just decided to try premium fuel for once, and I'm now steady at 28.5 MPG and haven't changed anything, so I may keep using premium for a few tanks to see if I'm getting a noticeable difference.
You won't get enough of an increase to offset the more expensive gas.

Strange, I am in Houston, drive with decent sized loads in the bed, and I average 85% or so city driving. I have never gotten less that 23mpgs (calculated by hand) I have seen as good as 32mpgs 100% interstate at 77mph for the first half tank. I am at 17k on the odometer. Also, I run premium and stay away from stations I've noticed getting worse mileage from. Long story short, I average 25/31 with a 4k package
Good to know I live in Houston too and my old CX-9 only gets 20mpg and the only load I put on it is my bike rack and mountain bike. My CX-9 is supposed to get up to 28mpg on the highway but I took a lot of road trips with a bike rack and some bikes and I was getting 19mpg doing 80-85 on the interstates. Hoping to get 25-28mpg on the maverick around Houston and no less than 23 mpg on long road trips with the same bike rack setup.

I used to average 80-85 bit being able to monitor my gas mileage I have found in the Maverick once you pass 77-78 it goes down pretty quickly. So, even though I not going as fast as I would like I still get there and use less fuel doing it

After 14 months and 7600 miles, I'm averaging 27.6 MPG. Most of my driving is local but there have been a couple of interstate trips in the mix along with some regional highway driving. On rural roads with little traffic and no stop lights, I've been as high as 39.3 MPG (about 20 miles on that trip).

80-85 mph is WAY above where the EPA tests these. And depending on what kind of crap you hang off the back of your vehicle you are also adding considerable drag. Good luck getting good mileage doing that.

I’ve got a bone stock 22 lariat with AWD, 10k miles on it. Just returned home from a 499.5 mile trip 99% highway interstate/ two lane. 65mph. 14.7gal of 87 octane regular. I tried eco and normal mode. It actually seemed to do better in normal mode by about .3 mpg. I use cruise control 100% time.

Noticed at 65 I could easily get 33 to 36 mpg on my road trip from FL to Ohio and back.

I was wounding what all the owners who already have their AWD Maverick are getting for MPG. I hopefully get on the estimated date of 11/11.
I get between 30 and 33 depending on what I'm doing but usually around 31mpg. I have 23k on mine and have had it for 14-15months (October 2021)
Here is a couple pics from.my last tanks of gas

One was part way through the tank and the 2nd is when I filled up before I reset it. While the truck estimates I'll get 522 out of the tank on fill up it will go down I get between 480 and 500 a tank usually

I just bought mine used 18 days ago. It had 8900 miles on it and I’ve put about 1200 miles on it since purchase. That dash picture was the first time I’d taken a trip to check it. That photo was just after I’d filled up and had not reset the trip display. On another subject anyone else having a key fob remote acting flaky. Once in a while it won’t lock, unlock doors unless standing right next to truck. Also can’t remote start truck with it not even standing beside truck and rear passenger door won’t unlock with touch of handle, other 3 doors will unlock by touch of handle.

Hello! Could you privately message us with your VIN and the name and location of your Ford dealer so I can look into these door unlocking and remote start concerns for you? Thank you!

I went to local dealer and found out rear doors don’t have that touch unlock feature even on lariat with lux package, just front doors, also figured out the key fob remote start feature.

Mostly short trips around town, some xway…getting about 22, way worse than I thought. Only 1100 miles so hoping it gets better.
