  1. 60K factory transmission fluid oil report arrived

What kind of quotes are you guys getting from the dealership for transmission fluid change? Does it include the filter change? I mentioned it when I was getting my oil change and they said $700-800 if they do the filter.
  2. Video: 235/70R17 AT's might be the perfect size (for those who don't want to add a lift kit)

Iā€™ve not experienced any rubbing over bumps at full turn. I tested it in a parking lot over bumps as well and itā€™s been clear so far. This is why I went 235/70 rather than 245/70.
  3. Hyperflashing with lasfits led lights after the Ford turn signal recall fix???

Turn signal recall question for people that have added drive modes with forscanā€¦did you lose your drive modes?
  4. Low coolant levels - where is it going? Ecoboost

Have it at the dealer today for coolant system pressure test. Iā€™m out of bumper to bumper warranty and while Iā€™ve brought this up to them and they even filled it up last time those details werenā€™t in their system which could be an issue. They said theyā€™d do the pressure test free of charge which...
  5. Ford Maverick Snow Challenge: I got stuck (Video)

Sand mode basically disables the traction control thatā€™s why Iā€™ve used it multiple times in deep snow with good results. On ice or compact snow slippery mode is the better choice but when you need wheel spin sand mode tends to work the best.
  6. Ford Maverick Snow Challenge: I got stuck (Video)

I totally would have backed in if I had known how much snow we were going to get!! It was forecast for 2-4ā€ šŸ˜€ Iā€™ve had no problems backing out previously in the snow with these new tires but this was just too much snow.
  7. Ford Maverick Snow Challenge: I got stuck (Video)

Yeah, the Subaru system is definitely one of the best AWD ones out there and dedicated snow tires would help as well. My wifes Santa Fe has a pseudo rear diff lock option you can engage and I wish they had that on the maverick as it really makes a difference. I bet the Tremor would have much...
  8. Low coolant levels - where is it going? Ecoboost

22ā€™ Ecoboost. Had a coolant smell in cab couple of months ago, checked and coolant was low (below minimum when stopped or running) so filled it up. Now two months later itā€™s below minimum line again and I can faintly smell it in the engine bay. Searched for an hour but can not find a leak or...
  9. Ford Maverick Snow Challenge: I got stuck (Video)

True, and here in the NW as the snow is extremely heavy with moisture and as soon as you pack it down under the tires it's like instant ice. There also was some freezing rain underneath so the driveway portion wasn't a very fair test. Once I got out on the road no problems at all and I got out...
  10. Ford Maverick Snow Challenge: I got stuck (Video)

Not at all - you should watch the whole video :) They did extremely well in the snow and the difference from the Pirellis was very noticeable. I've been very impressed with the Firestone Destination AT2's and they are quieter and lighter than many of the other all-terrain choices. These are also...
  11. Ford Maverick Snow Challenge: I got stuck (Video)

We got a bunch of snow last week and although I'd already given the new Firestone Destination AT2 235/70R17 tires some good snow testing this year I figured I'd give the Maverick the tough task of trying to escape my slick concrete driveway without shoveling it first :) It's escaped previously...
  12. Video: 235/70R17 AT's might be the perfect size (for those who don't want to add a lift kit)

The white letters are on the inside - one side white other side black.
  13. Video: 235/70R17 AT's might be the perfect size (for those who don't want to add a lift kit)

Funny you asked as I'm working on a video :) I've driven three times in them so far this year. First two times in 2-3 inches and it was like the snow wasn't even there with the tires. They are a huge step up from the Pirellis. Was really impressed. This week we got a foot of heavy NW snow and...
  14. New Ford Maverick Lighting Kits by Diode Dynamics | 1/18/24

So if it just plugs into the 7 pin connector was there a reason it doesn't do a brake light as well? I really was hoping for something that would do brake light and reverse.
  15. New Ford Maverick Lighting Kits by Diode Dynamics | 1/18/24

It seems like the C1R taps the rear tail lights so it doesn't use the trailer plugs. I'm guessing that's also why it's only a running light and reverse light and not a brake light which would be on another plug on the taillight assembly. Wish it would do all three.
  16. New Ford Maverick Lighting Kits by Diode Dynamics | 1/18/24

Does the hitch mount LED do brake light as well as running light and reverse? For the ditch light kit - is there going to be a slight gap between the seal/fender when pushing the seal back in as the bracket has to come up through that space?
  17. Mavericks In/Under Snow - Post Your Pics!

10" of snow. Couldn't get out of the driveway. Wish the truck had locking diff. Even with the aggressive tries the steep concrete driveway and heavy wet snow wins this battle.
  18. 98K Miles Blackstone Lab Oil Report Analysis (Maverick Hybrid)

Better pour some milk in there, your calcium levels were below average :)
  19. Should you buy a Ford Maverick Bed Extender? (Owner Review Video)

I was working on a different video the other day and looked up at my bed extender hanging in the garage and thought maybe I should do a video on it after 2 years of ownership,
  20. Drifting in snow w/ my Maverick

Hey if you live there long enough you'll see snow :) It snows sometimes on Haleakala. All the locals will go up there with garbage can lids to try to go sledding.
