Sounds like the will prioritize orders of tremor/lux where it is included over the stand aloneSo IF I read it correctly if some ordered a stand alone hitch, the order will not get built?

Lol yeap. Pay to win vehicle editionHonestly it just seems like Ford is trying to coax people into ordering the Lux package if they want their Maverick to come with a hitch and not be constrained.
How about the fleet orders.Found a corner of wifi for my laptop. Even being generous with the hybrids at 50% going back to March, I don't see how 21% of outstanding orders are still EB unless there has been that many shift to EB in the last few weeks. Ford started out with 35% EB and that would indicate Ford has built less than half of the EBs so far despite having the capacity to completely clear out those orders so far.
spot on Sounds like Ford sees the sales data which shows most Maverick buyers are similar to me, buying hybrid for gas mileage, never bought a truck and have a competitive vehicle. I had Nissan Rogue.Ford cannot seem to wrap it around their head that most of the retail orders are for Hybrid. They keep pushing the Gas version. This also means they buy supplies based on the projection that the Gas would sell best. Well 2 years of Data now and that has not been the case. Time to pull their head out of the sand on this.
Oh no Bob, hope you're not having spreadsheet withdrawal21% gas seems very high. I'm at summer camp with my scouts and not near my spreadsheets, but that doesn't make sense.
yeah same-ish here. I've always driven ford sedans. The maverick is basically the only thing I want to buy from them now with their new lineup strategy, as I certainly wasn't going to be buying a giant truck or crossover . Its amazing they came up with something this desirable that could pull me (and so many others) in so strongly that I'm willing to wait so long. It is a much less desirable product with the 2.0T for me, and clearly that's the vast majority of buyers too.spot on Sounds like Ford sees the sales data which shows most Maverick buyers are similar to me, buying hybrid for gas mileage, never bought a truck and have a competitive vehicle. It's not the metal hitch receiver that is the constraint, it is the electronics that drive the trailer electrical connector. The chip supply still has not fully recovered from COVID. Every Ford vehicle with a hitch needs a trailer electronic module with chips.I can’t understand why ford cant get enough trailor hitches for the maverick or any other truck.a trailor hitch should be standard on all trucks in my opinion with option to delete it if you dont want it.just my opinion![]()
I sense that possibly 50% of the 35% hybrids will be IT!Also how does the math make sense with 50% Hybrids and 65% Ecoboost?
It's not the actual hitch that's restrained, it's the circuitry to electrical connections that's in short supply.I can’t understand why ford cant get enough trailor hitches for the maverick or any other truck.a trailor hitch should be standard on all trucks in my opinion with option to delete it if you dont want it.just my opinion![]()
Those are the maximums they can make. There are other constraints that have to be factored in. So if the trailer hitch and XL trim constraints of the orders limit hybrids to 35%, they could still make 65% EBs if they were not XL or have a hitch. But regardless of what happens to hybrids, they could not make 70% EBs.Also how does the math make sense with 50% Hybrids and 65% Ecoboost?
I read it as they can build max 50% hybrid, max 65% eco. So if you stay hybrid you might not get your truck, but extra capacity is available with the EB if you switch.Saw this also and until a better theory surfaces I'm assuming it reflects the third shift production increase. I read it as though Ford is now estimating they can make 115% of the capacity they originally planned to build for MY23.
...but yeah - it's anyone's guess.![]()

When Ford is short on trailer modules to go around, which vehicles do you think they are going to short? The lowest trim levels of the cheapest vehicle.
