    To be fair the warning/code was not active when I dropped off my Maverick. They did say it showed in the history. My guess is it was causing an intermittent warning as it was failing and once it was active again they were able to diagnose it properly with the scanner.

    You can buy the factory extended warranty any time before the bumper to bumper expires. I will wait until my 36000 miles is almost up.
