I’m having the same exact problem after an identical professional install and full LasFit upgrade. Haven’t taken in for fix as unwilling to return all to stock. As they say, Caveat Emptor.
Palms, on a side note, after restoring back to original but keeping the diodes in place just not connected to factory, and removing Lasfit, everything working well again. I reinstalled the Lasfit and all still working well. Tow light diodes now connected to tailgate light blade for towing. Good luck!

I'm looking at the Maverick as a vehicle to tow behind our motor home. Has anyone seen any information on flat-towing the Maverick? If so, are there any special equipment options that are required? (Engine, transmission,...)
Maverick hybrid is flat towable.

I wonder does anyone know the lead time on getting the Roadmaster baseplate? I paid a local RV repair shop up front for installation so he could get the parts and he has been avoiding me for six weeks. He did say they were on backorder.

We got ours in and installed within 2 weeks.

I thought I’d post this here since flat towing is the subject. I bought a 2023 XLT hybrid late last year with the intention of towing it behind our motorhome as well as using it for my daily driver. Everything has worked well until yesterday, when the 12v battery died after approximately 2 1/2 hours of towing. I had started it to hook it up starting the day, and it had been driven every day for several days before yesterday, so the 12v battery should have been fine. After discovering the battery was dead, I tried jump starting with a battery pack, which resulted in being unable to shift into park. The shift selector was displaying a flashing P but the selector wouldn’t move. I had several malfunction messages on the dash telling me to stop the vehicle, need service, 12v battery will drain under certain conditions, etc. Engine wouldn’t start. After sitting for an hour, I tried jumping the battery again and all was well. I was able to shift into park and have the engine start. Decided to have my copilot drive it the last 30 miles of our trip to charge the battery. There were check engine and service vehicle lights on when we started driving, but they disappeared during the 30 mile trip. Next day, all is still well with the truck.
I have the Roadmaster setup with NSA Hercules tow bar, Blue Ox Patriot wireless supplement brake system, and wireless towing lights that mount on the top of my tonneau cover.
My plan is to run a 12v wire from the motorhome to the truck to keep the battery charged while towing.

A charger cord is mandatory otherwise exactly what is happening will happen.

Flat towing was a small reason in my decision to get the hybrid. The fact that you can't flat tow the truck, even though it was advertised as being able, seems like a future issue for Ford.

It just seems like anyone who tries to flat tow the Maverick just cooks it.

Don’t understand your response. Many are successfully flat towing with a charge line from the RV to the Maverick Hybrid.

I agree. So, far, I have flat towed my Maverick approximately 2K miles, with no issues. One day (not my normal towing timetable) was after a 9 hour drive. Everything is good. I do have a charge line that runs from the plug to the battery, utilizing the kit from Demco (I think).

Flat towed 3-4K miles with no issues.
There are plenty of people flat towing Mavs _ I passed one on the highway this morning being towed by a class A, and we have chatted with other Mav owners in campgrounds during our travels.
You do need a charge circuit - I just ran a wire from 6 pole connector 12 volt power through a 15 amp breaker to my battery jump post - easy peasy. The same as I did on our (previous) CRV toad.

As many others have said, YOU MUST HAVE A CHARGE LINE HOOKED UP! This truck tows easily with no problems if you set it up correctly to start with. Not sure what you mean by not being able to flat tow, even though it is advertised by Ford? The only ones I have seen with any real battery problems are those who did not have a charge line from motorhome to the truck. Easy fix, then hit the road!

Another issue is that the 12v port in the maverick goes dead after about 30”. It is necessary to run a dedicated 12v port that will remain live in the pickup for the patriot brake. I fought this issue most of the summer before we were able to resolve it. Ford dealer was NO help at all.

Nope. Many of us are doing it just fine. I've amassed about 5500 miles on my trips so far. Not a flaw so far. The NT process is critical that you do it exactly as instructed, and braking systems are as critical.

A charge line from the rv to your Mav or any flat towed vehicle is must to continuously charge your flat towed vehicle. You can get from the 7 pin on the rv.
