When it happens again, turn the light switch off then back on, it will work for a while. There is an issue but Ford will blame lasfit bulbs first. Before taking it back, replace your bulbs with original bulbs and take it when the problem is occuring otherwise they won't be able to duplicate it...

Does keypad work when the truck goes into deep sleep after towing for several hours? I tried to unlock it with the app but it did not work during the deep sleep. I didn't expect it to go to sleep since I had just started it about 2 hours prior.

You are right about the keypad. I tried getting one put on my XL but the dealer was not very helpful.

2nd tow of the hybrid went well!! The only problem was locking the door and the Maverick going to sleep. Always take the spare keys with you or don't lock it. Had to call a 24 hr locksmith which unloved it in 20 seconds. The towing vehicle might surprise you!!

Palms, on a side note, after restoring back to original but keeping the diodes in place just not connected to factory, and removing Lasfit, everything working well again. I reinstalled the Lasfit and all still working well. Tow light diodes now connected to tailgate light blade for towing. Good...

Super nice, getting ready here but not sure for what. Added 12v power to cubby. Used to power new $199.00 12v freezer fridge with Blue Etti back up.

I kept the standard round RV light connector and wiring to the back. Instead of connecting to the diodes, I connected the wires to the tailgate light strip. It has its own 3m tape to stick it on with.

A word of caution regarding the diodes. I had mine professionally installed then later had my passenger tail light go off intermittently. I took it to the dealer for a recall and asked them to check on the tail light issue. When they found out about the diodes and lasfit bulb upgrade, they...

Currently using a Schumacher jump pack with compressor.

So far mine has not gone out since removing the diodes for towing lights and they did a download on it. I still use the diodes but on separate lights for towing now. Good luck with yours.

That's the way they did mine except the diodes caused a ground fault and the passenger light would go off intermittently. I would not tap into the factory wires, keep tow lights completely separate if you can.

Swtiming, the lower louvers had to be removed to install the roadmaster setup. Since then, Ford has ordered those same louvers and more removed as part of the fire under the hood campaign. The issue I had had to do with installing tow lights and tapping into the factory harness for the diodes...

Donald, I had the light kit installed by a truck accessories shop that installed my base plates. They did have to splice into the wires at the tail lights. It had to be restored back to original as well as original bulbs for Ford to to reassess the problem and to perform the download update and...

Yes, that is the adhesive plate with the cutout for the keypad. The picture is the Ford dealer technician holding it up. He did not make any suggestions just that it did not fit.
