Making me think this morning....
The *ONLY* other thing I could think of would be that the computer might need 3 minutes of being "on" in accessory mode after placing the truck into NT. But that makes little sense to me.
I really think that the 3 minutes is PRIOR to turning off the truck...
Real world experience here...last trip was 2622 miles. YOUR 2024 manual is DIFFERENT than my 2023 manual.
That extra 3 minutes is a new addition from 2023. I put my truck in and out of NT many times during that 2 week trip, NEVER waiting 3 minutes after setting up NT...as the Truck isn't...
It was the first time ever using L. Also, the first time travelling through the area. My dentist is in Buffalo at the Eastern edge of the Bighorns, and we took the detour for about 50 miles to Meadowlark Lake and then back down. Gotta love that over 40 mpg mileage. Was in the 20s range...
Exactly. I was going through the Big Horns in WY Yesterday... 8% stuff. I pushed the L button and although I don't know exactly what was happening, I watched my regen scale go from about 50% without it, immediately to 100% full regen in L. The engine did not sound like it was very wound out...
Frankly, I'd rather see more posts asking about what the card slot is behind the mode buttons... than argue about a non-existent EV Maverick and how all the big city folks think they are the cat's meow.
Easy. Take one of your Maverick lugnuts off and compare it to the Escape lugnuts. Try it on for size on the Maverick. M14 x 1.5 lugnuts are on many Fords.
Both my 2023 and my wife's 2024 work. Both Lariats with 360 and 360 assist. When someone in front of me turns off, and I get closer than it likes before their turn is completed, I get the big red screen saying pre-collision alert. I've only gotten it twice in over a year, and my wife just got...
I just found the price for this wiring component from Ford. WPT-1686. It consists of the $.93 plug and 8 lengths of wire and some shrink-wrap. This end of the plug is pretty easy to make with a smallpair of needlenose pliers, a paperclip, thumbnails and a soldering pencil. It's the socket...
There is a weight table for suggested compressor settings for pedal pressure, as well as the sensitivity selection. When it finishes starting up, sensitivity defaults to 4 lights...and I press the button twice to drop it to only 2 lights.
And I do appreciate all your points! We're both just trying to provide info.
I do know that my brakebuddy can LOCK the towed's wheels, as it did on my 4400 lb 2003 Chevy S-10. The Brake Buddy has adjustible pressure, based on weight, as well as sensitivity. I set mine to about 50 psi. Found...
I have no horse in this race. Just sharing something I had not seen before. Maybe the Ford engineer had an earlier (or later?) conversation with the folks at NSA? I have zero experience with any supplemental braking other than the BrakeBuddy I bought in 2003. It has served me well, so I...
I often get asked what I use for supplemental braking (an old BrakeBuddy). Here is a definitive post from the FB page, "Towing Behind a Motorhome" about NSA being a bad choice. Also, you will see this person's qualifications in the second attachment. I set my BrakeBuddy's sensitivity at "2"...
I think my BrakeBuddy pre-dates the official "BrakeBuddy Classic" and is actualy an "Original" BrakeBuddy. The brace at the rear is adjustable with a large nut to move it to properly catch the seat. I have always set it at "2" because I only want the brake help when it is a hard stop. Mine...
