Dealer alleges that it will take 2 - 3 days to receive an email from Ford.
Probably the dealership's delay and not Ford's. My dealer put mine in while on a call with me. E-mail arrived 15 mins later. Longest my dealer claims to have seen is about 90 mins.

I am very disappointed with ford in regards to 22MY orders. I rushed in Thursday to make 2 orders, each one at a different dealership. But I still need to make the additions to the items they removed from the lariat lux pkg and turn 1 order to hybrid (dealer accidentally picked and). What a mess!

What’s PEP ?

Yes that is interesting. I wonder what happens if Ford can't make your Maverick and you have a signed buyer's order. Would they be held liable?
Seriously? Why do you think so many of us are having to reorder and start from scratch again 😎

Same here! My order number is 2199. What is yours?
As others have said, your Order Number is dealer specific. Our sales rep - Victor - said when we ordered our MY23 last week that he changed his numbering scheme, and was giving us Order Number 001V. (V for Victor.)

Our MY22 Order Number was V999 …

May the new number be luckier.

Ford says they are trying to move to an "electric future" but if demand is there, why not accelerate the process and build more hybrids and total EVs? I'm guessing the profit margin is greater for them with the ICE vehicles.
They could easily jack up the hybrid price to gain a higher profit margin but I think the real reason is the battery constraints. People would in many cases pay another $1-2K for the hybrid and its 40 mpg vs the 23 mpg on the ECO.

Think I'm SOL on my 23 order as the dealers closed on the weekends and I can't get to the dealer during business hours. Bummer.
I did my order over text (specs plus a pic of my license), email (build specs, etc), and phone (we're in the UK traveling). I wouldn't give up. They should be able to do it remotely.

Wow!!!

Hope my dealer is able to get my Tremor order submitted tomorrow!
Ordered 2 ea. Hybrids at Autonation Panama City yesterday. No down payment, MSRP gauranteed. Orders submited to Coporate @1100 CST yesterday. Love my Turbo XL. I wouldn't be at all surprised if the order banks already closed! My salesman was hopping around an empty showroom trying to get customers' paperwork submitted by NOON !

0902. Still no order confirmation from Ford, but my salesman is right on top of things so if he says all is well, then I will run with that. He's busier today than a pumpkin salesman on Halloween. :ROFLMAO:
It was raining yesterday and my dealership was pretty much a ghost town. I sat with my salesman for nearly an hour to first run the 2022 website "build your Maverick" process, then they took that printout and entered it as a 2023 order, took a copy of my DL, had me sign a "not an invoice" acknowledgement, and by the time I got home I had an order confirmation email from Ford.

Now, this part sounded like typical sales pressure to me, but my sales guy said the 2023 order window was closing today 9-18. I don't doubt it will close soon, but on a Sunday after a single weekend of accepting orders?

No deposit requested, so I fell for the pressure tactic and ordered right then, wife was upset I did it without her, but that's how it played out.

This is their unfair process then. The devoted customer that ordered 22my was disrespected by not notifying them to order and not leaving the order window open only first to them.. Damn shame!
I agree 100%. 2022 unfulfilled orders should've been rolled over automatically, then allow the customer to modify as needed. To have the possibility that a 2022 order holder will get locked out of getting a 2023 is terrible customer service on Ford's part.

As others have said you made the smart move. Sounds like the order banks are closing very shortly. They could open up later for another small window but you are in the first group and that could prove the difference between getting a Mav or not.

Does you wife understand you guys are under no obligation to take the truck if things go south? Flowers used to work for me until she developed allergies to them.

As for the email, the dealer entered the wrong email for me, so that is that. I doubt Ford's computer resends the confirmation. I told them to fix it so I will at least get future updates.

I'm glad unfulfilled orders have to be reordered. I get it's a hassle, but will also help clear some of the orders that aren't wanted but not cancelled. It's a high demand vehicle being locked in at a fair price and for most at MSRP. If it's important to the buyer they will make the effort.

I agree. Mine is R911 which I take to be their 911th retail order.
Is the R your the first letter of your salesman's name? If that's so then I must be the 3rd order at my dealership cause I'm 003 after the letter. My dealer told me they didn't have that many roll over 22's.
