I feel fortunate to have not had problems with the software updates, especially since my very old school dealer's service department looks like it still services Model Ts
Trucks typically hold their value better than cars, so I'd say yes. And since Ford is building the Maverick in the same plant as the Bronco Sport, there is an upper limit as to how many Mavericks Ford can ever build, unless they decide to give Maverick it's own plant.
This really isn't much of a surprise. Ford typically gets 10 years out of a platform, so even with a couple refreshes, the Maverick wasn't getting totally redesigned for years anyway. Same with the Bronco.
As far as getting more TRUCK out of the deal, yeah, the Lightning is the way to go, but also still a lot more money. 2 trades and still financing $48k. Yikes!
The thing that worries me about the Lightning is that has such a massive battery, home charging would be a chore. I drive a Chevy Bolt...
I signed my Maverick up as a second vehicle for Uber and Lyft when I first got it, and did use it for a couple days while my primary vehicle was in the shop. It can work, but luggage and groceries end up in the open bed, which isn't great. But now for some reason Uber has restricted the Maverick...
I think the Maverick will hold it's value well over time, just because trucks typically do, and because the pricing on the Maverick has gone up so much since launch, and because to step up to a midsize truck is a massive increase in cost. You can look around at some very old pickups and see that...
OP'd Maverick was REAR ENDED while in the dealer's possession, so that driver's insurance is responsible for not only OP's Maverick, but the other truck as well. This particular case isn't about the dealer employee's negligence. OP needs to get the police report and go after the responsible...
Definitely not. I used to sell Fords, and the F150 was not rated for a plow except for a specific configuration. I had a customer insist on getting a plow installed on his F150 crew cab, and when it finally got installed, the front suspension sagged due to the weight of the plow. The Maverick...
My Maverick usually only gets driven on the weekends. It has never failed to start, but when I get in it at night, the interior lights don't come on (they will come on if I push the switch to the ON position), and usually after I drive it I get a notification that the remote app has been...
I do mostly very short trips in my hybrid. 3-4 miles each way. My mileage is in the mid 30s. I actually get better mileage if I mix in some longer highway trips.
The order form is not a contract. You don't have an obligation to buy based off the order form. This is how some shady dealers screwed customers out of their Maverick orders, or jacked up the price at the last minute. So just tell the dealer you don't want it, and get your money back if you gave...
PLENTY of Maverick owners have had a scummy dealer pull that on them. Really it's ridiculous for that to be happening now, when you might be able to find a Maverick on the lot somewhere. But in the last 2 years that has been a common complaint.
