I understand Ford's system. It's not rocket science. Not liking the system and not understanding the system are two different things.

Ford has no reason to care. They build a truck that gets sold either way. It's up to the dealers to make policy to handle it (like charging a deposit). Dealers have no reason to stop it because the more orders the better. It hurts other buyers only, and is selfish IMO. But it is what it is.
