My Lariat Hybrid w/lux production was 3/14 and got pushed back a month. I have no choice, but I'll wait patiently. One thing I wish I could do without is the spray in liner. I don't have a choice, but I'd rather not have it. This type of liner has always been pointless for the truck needs. I would prefer looking at the Maverick's painted bed. I don't think groceries are going to do much harm to the bed. For that occasional more robust load a bed mat will do just fine. I hate that this item could be a potential delay. My order is date 7/9/21 with a current build date of (week of) 4/11/22.

If there were 100 Mavs with bed mats only 2 would get them
Just curious. How many here that are still waiting actually ordered a bed mat?

Ordered XLT Lux package on Jan. 24 and was told a few days later they are short of tri-fold tonneau covers.

Others have probably said, but to me what is truly noteworthy is not the percentage of option choices on WHAT Ford is building, but rather HOW MANY Mavericks Ford is building.

We don't know what percentage of reservations turned into orders. But we know they had enough orders that they quit taking orders for the Hybrid in November and ecoboost a few weeks ago.

6,000 units a month is likely not near enough. That's 50,000'ish trucks made between now and when they will switch over to 2023. I think we all believe a lot more trucks have been ordered than that.

I did something similar back in 03 when I ordered a BMW 325i with the winter package after getting a promotion wheni was in th Air Force. I got it in metallic black with brown leather interior. Dealer said it had come from Germany because not a usual color combination, so he said. Ended up taking a month longer than normal because the container ship with it broke down by South African! Loved that car and never did see another like it. So waiting for the Maverick has pushed my limits on waiting! I'm hoping I'll have the same thrill as I did when I got my Bimmer! đźš—
Wow, that does sound like a sweet ride! I guess this is the lot we get when we order a new vehicle in a pandemic. These issues just haven't been part of life before. Small wonder it rattles us.

Hey, my sister is Air Force retired; she's an RN who served in Kuwait. Brother-in-law graduated the AF Academy, flew rescue helicopters and became a Commander. It's hard on families, but they all came through. Thanks for your service. 🌟

It would be nice if Ford would reach out to everyone that has a SIBL and offer a choice of dropping it from your build and receive a reduced price or going with DIBL. This way your Maverick could continue being built without being held for this one item.

Lux w/ spray in + CP360 + sunroof + hard tri fold.

Bahahaha. *Cries in less than 1% selection*
Same. If it goes into the summer I may seriously wait until the 2023 model.

Glad to hear your family members made it through their service time. Yes, it is really hard for everyone, the members and their families. Thankfully, the military has gotten a lot better about support during and after service.

So they have roughly 10 full production months of around 5500-6000 units a month for 2022MY. That would mean their full production capacity for Mavericks (and probably total orders) was around 55k to 60k plus maybe another 5-6k for the 3 month rampup to November. If they do not increase production capacity that would mean only 70k-75k unit production capacity a year. That seems really low to me. I would have thought they would have wanted to be in the 125k range at least.
Sometimes I wonder if they are purposely throttling it. It allows them to get price increases for people on the 2023 model if they can’t build all the 2022’s.

Looks like my early August order for a loaded lariat will be a 23 model year if I am lucky.
I’m starting to resign myself to this fact also. I literally maxed out the truck because it was so affordable.

I personally believe this is what Ford should do also.
that would be awesome! Instead of praying for an email each week for my build I’ll pray NOT to get an email so it converts to a 2023. 🤣 🤣

I think Ford grossly underestimated the response to the Maverick. This in turn has only gotten worse by low production of the Maverick. I think the problem with supply issues and sharing a factory with the Bronco is the reasons for low production numbers. MY23 will mostly see price increases for XLT and Lariat models because of a better profit margin. I think the XL will probably stay the same price because Ford is looking at big fleet orders there. Hopefully Ford is looking to put more production in another factory, but even if the do supply chain issues are still a problem.

Government and fleet ordering is still open, so there's however many more that will be in the way of me getting my truck.

You are assuming Ford is going to put retail orders behind government, fleet and dealer stock orders.
