Wish I were as confident they'll get the 22 orders done on time. We're going to be at a time soon where there will be no buffer to account for shortages holding up production, and the hybrid version seems to be built out of 100% constraints.

That I get. But what does the first number mean? Like after Bed Mat is says 2%. Do they have only 2% of the bed mats they need? Or do they have 98% of the bed mats they need?
2% of the bed mats they need for the amount of orders that have it.

After watching folks drop in the 110 outlet and a ton of other "factory" components on here, I went with no add-ons and will just put it on after the fact...whenever that is lol.
Same here. The only things i added to my order were 4k tow and fx4 which aren't on this constraint list.

Info from Ford dealer:

Commodities / Constraints
. . .

Are there any chip issues in these items? If so, which items, and are any of those Hybrid specific?

Sorry but that's not even remotely close to how and why it works and the system does work and Ford is not the only manufacturer that operates on an allocation system like that. If Ford were to move to some "everyone gets a trophy" type of allocation system they would lose so many sales to other manufacturers in LARGE markets, ie the markets that get the most allocation. Don't like it? Order from a dealer that gets more allocation, I did and my Maverick was scheduled for production within two weeks of ordering.
Sure and let a few large dealerships be all that's left to order from...and pay more for drop ship or delivery. Just like what happened to small bookshops when Amazon started mailing books cheap. A few big guys get rich and the locals go out of business.

EXCEPT that some Vehicle Visibility Reports include the words "Chip Hold." 😕
Correct, there's nothing unfortunately prevent a supply issue once a Mav is already started down the line. Since they are still getting supplies as they are building, if there's hiccup in that supply showing up then build goes on hold. I suspect the chip monster has raised it's ugly head once again, which has caused all those hybrid delays and the sudden surge in Ecoboost orders last week and probably again this week.

The reality is that people who have been waiting for orders from their small low allocation dealers come here to vent and complain

It's really the ratio of allocations to orders that matters. Not just the number of allocations.

I ran the numbers recently on my dealer (very small) and Long MacArthur (one of the biggest). From what I could see, each had about 40% delivered, built, or scheduled.

I went with a small dealer. Looking back on it -- now that my truck is built -- it doesn't seem like it made much difference. There are a lot of people waiting at small dealers, and a hell of a lot more people waiting at large dealers. Some get scheduled abnormally quickly, some abnormally slowly. There seems to be more luck than skill involved.

I agree with you but I suspect that some of the people who have been sidelined here for a while have unfortunately fallen outside of your statistical analysis. I'm sure there are small anomaly dealers that have had far more orders than allocation and unfortunately a few people who ordered through them have "fallen through the cracks". Overall though, the system works.

I just wish I knew what the hold up is that's keeping our truck from being shipped. When the shift happened this week and folks' scheduled build dates got pushed out and some of you weren't scheduled at all, I began feeling some "survivor guilt" since ours is further along. Then I learned that ours is still just sitting there ~ nearly two weeks now, after a couple of long waits since produciton began, not even in line to be shipped ~ and that feeling was somewhat assuaged. I've never special ordered a vehicle before. The closest I came was when we told the Mini dealer what we were looking for and he found us that very thing inside of a week, just not in a colour we'd entertained. But as it was the only standard shift, four-door Mini Cooper in New England, we took the red one. LOL. Now I love it and we're getting another red Ford truck too. (Our Ranger was red.)

Worth waiting for, but who knew it would entail so very much waiting?

I did something similar back in 03 when I ordered a BMW 325i with the winter package after getting a promotion wheni was in th Air Force. I got it in metallic black with brown leather interior. Dealer said it had come from Germany because not a usual color combination, so he said. Ended up taking a month longer than normal because the container ship with it broke down by South African! Loved that car and never did see another like it. So waiting for the Maverick has pushed my limits on waiting! I'm hoping I'll have the same thrill as I did when I got my Bimmer! 🚗

What's the point of canceling the features you want in the truck to get a truck without them? Geez, for $30k I want what I want. If it doesn't show up so be it.
Because you can add them on after you get the truck.

And the small ford car dealers will go out of business because they can't get cars to sell. Then where are you going to get repair work done?

Velocity blue XLT hybrid lux package.Ordered 10/20.Got Ford email same day.Have not heard anything since from dealer or Ford.Thats ok.I can wait.I don't care if it is a '22 or a '23 model.I will not drop any equipment to try to get it quicker. The whole idea of special ordering a vehicle is so you can get exactly what you want.Be patient folks.Your Mav will come sooner or later.
Some of us see our exact same build which was ordered months after we did. Get built. That is what we are upset about.
