Yes, all ACC cars can do this. I was referring to the max distance. Even though the driver can see a thousand yards, the truck can only see the "200 ft".
I think these add on letters are cool on the right vehicle. I'd suggest to the OP that if they're interested in these, then try them on their worn out tires.
If they hate them then they haven't ruined their new tires.
If they like them then they are worth double the cost.
Keep in mind that the truck only looks out ahead a certain distance; say for example 200 ft. If something is 200 ft 6 in ahead the truck doesn't see this. It just doesn't have the vision you do. The truck's "aggressive" braking zone is further out than yours. It errs on the side of caution...
What you've described sounds a lot like "auto-resume" in my F150. Auto-Resume only works on limited access highways (basically interstates*). Here's the description from the F150 manual:
"Displays when on a limited access highway after following a vehicle to a complete stop. In this situation...
Putting aside all this battery talk and getting back to a truck being built...
The OP, myself, and another or two have 9/1/25 for a build week. Who knows exactly what 'build week' means? I want to think this means 'frame goes on the assembly line', or in the case of the Maverick the body. A...
My '25 order has the same build week. Your post prompted me to check order tracking and mine is shown as in production also.
I placed my order two months ago. Things are quicker these days. My '22 took 10 months for delivery.
Battery tender? Needed? Dunno, but I'll prep mine for a quick...
There's probably several ways to skin this cat. I swapped out all incandescent bulbs for LEDs. All was fine until after the recall. My dash hyperflashed. I tried fixing it by disabling both front and rear turn outage. This did not stop the hyperflashing. Only after also disabling the stop outage...
I'm not arguing. You said "With LEDs installed, they aren't going to hyperflash to tell you they are out anyway since they already draw so little current." This is why they hyperflash. The lower power draw is interpreted by the truck as a bulb out condition and it initiates the hyperflash. To...
Misinformation and not true at all. After the recall the truck's electronics are more sensitive to power draw or lack thereof. With LED bulbs drawing so little current the truck thinks the bulb(s) is burnt out and hyperflashes. There are three possible fixes; 1) Reprogram the truck to be less...
I have the Ford bed extender and a Truxedo Pro X15 roll up cover. The cover doesn't hinder the flipping of the extender. Well, of course you have to roll up the cover first to flip the thing in or out.
Yes. FORScan can "fix" the hyper flash. The down side is you lose hyper flashing. Huh? you say. The truck hyper flashes to tell you you have a bulb out. FORScan can turn this notification off.
In FORScan in Easy mode - not As-Built mode - do the following in the BCM.
"Front Bulb Turn Outage"...
