What did your maverick replace?

Right on. I didn't think i would like down sizing but going from full size to mini truck wasn't a bad transition. Love getting 32+mpg on road trips. Knock on wood I've had no issues to speak of. Just went in for the ac inverter stopped working. New outlet was ordered. Other than that it's been great.

Did the outlet fix yours? Mine is currently in and headed down the same road. They said next step if the outlet doesn't work is to go for a $630 inverter.... I don't think I want it that bad. Hoping the outlet fixes it.

Nope it didn't fix it still waiting. Although I need to check it again because they just changed my battery under warranty and I was wondering if the bcm wouldn't let it work with a low battery.

I thought I had posted to this thread back when I got my Mav. Just looked through and realized I didn't. Oh well.

I had a really nice 2011 GMC Sierra 2500HD, 6.0L, 4X4 Crew Cab. The thing was in incredible condition for it's vintage and only had 55k miles on the clock. We're moving up to a motor home, the 5th wheel was sold, and we didn't need a truck that big.

We replaced my wife's trusty Saturn w/ an Escape hybrid with the intent that it was going to also be the tow'd for the motor home.

We liked the hybrid much more than expected so when it came time to replace the GMC w/ something smaller I started investigating the Maverick hybrid. I usually buy used on principle and the search began. Though I didn't think I was looking for a black one that's what I found for the best price, with the lowest miles - 3,150, and the best condition - virtually showroom fresh, and I'm very pleased with it. Change of plans, too; it's going to be the tow'd instead of the Escape.

Our first Maverick (2022) replaced a KL Jeep Cherokee...and did a much better job of carrying stuff, much as I liked the Jeep the interior wasn't well laid out for cargo.

This most recent one replaced a 2018 Kia Niro we no longer needed because I don't have a 50 mile commute each way anymore.

My 2002 Durango 5.9 R/T is showing it's age mostly with rubber parts drying out and cracking causing various DTC issues. I'm not as young as I used to be so repairs are taking their toll on me plus I don't want to spend all my time working on a 23 YO vehicle. It only has 87K and still looks new~ish. Also gets about 13 mpg on a good day. I'm still going to keep it for the fact it's an excellent 4wd and will pull a heavy trailer when needed. The Maverick works out well, great mileage and a warranty. I have a small trailer to tow my motorcycles, the Mav pulls it easily. I towed my Springer to S. Dakota and Arizona last year and it worked perfectly, 30 mpg+ all the way.

What did you drive before the maverick? I replaced a 2016 f250 supercab long bed gas. Just wondering how diversified the maverick community is. Because the maverick can play alot of roles in the automotive world. I see people get out of Priuses , trucks, suvs, minivans. I bought mine because I needed a daily that could haul a boat ,camper small stuff. Superduty was nice when towing the stuff I have didn't even know it was there. But I first a Formost I needed a daily driver for a 60 mile round trip. My Maverick has filled that slot perfectly. What's your story?

2005 Ford Escape with 342K miles. I bought it with 98K miles on it so I put on a few. Went through a few starters and alternators and misc front end parts. The biggest expense was a trans rebuild at 140K. And like most of these older Escapes, it suffered from wheel well rot and finally the rear shock mounts gave away and the vehicle had to be scrapped. But I got my money's worth out of it. Needless to say, my 2023 Maverick Eco is a big upgrade.
