They do the same with the Maverick. They're definitely trying to get rid of the last of the 2024s before people look at 2025s, and it makes sense from their perspective I guess.
I know some of the answers have been snarky, but really the best way to clean that area seems to be to remove the tonneau and wash it down real good periodically. Even a hard cover, which I know is a harder thing to do, but we had to do that on our older Maverick. There's no way to stop debris...
The hybrid engine is port injected and not turbocharged so it's going to be much less stressed. There's an argument either way but it's going to take a while to find out
I tend to refill at about the 50 miles remaining mark. That's less than a quarter on the gauge but before the low fuel warning comes up, which seems fine to me. Emergency travel wouldn't be more than 15 miles (nearest ER) anyway.
Frankly, while the fuel savings is nice, I didn't buy the hybrid primarily for that. I bought it because I love the low end torque, and I love the stop and start system that actually works right, and I love the electrically powered A/C. 😁
GM doesn't have a hybrid system to put in it in the first place, that's their biggest problem to this point. With emissions regulations relaxing they may be able to just federalize it and bring it here, we'll have to see.
The default has to be whatever the EPA mileage tests were done under. That number has to be what you get from the vehicle in whatever mode it starts up in. Some cars do start up in ECO for the extra rating but Ford leaves you a little more room to get more if you want it. And I'm guessing ECO...
Only the A/C is fully electric. The hybrid still uses the engine heat to heat the cabin. There are supplemental electric heating strips but they draw too much power to be used on their own for for very long.
Honestly, slippery mode is good because you WANT regen when applying the brakes. You...
No issues with our 2022, 50k miles now. The recalls went in fine once we were able to schedule them.
Also no issues with the 2025, but that's considerably newer obviously.
