Mine doesn't have any squeaks or rattles. Once I "moved in" as far as all the things I have in the side pockets and cubbies, those things make noises over bumps and stuff.

My daughter's Accord had a buzz vibration that 3 trips to the dealer couldn't fix. I took a business card and wedged it between the interior panels and the problem was solved.

Personally I wouldn't raise a fuss over such a minor issue. I didn't hear rattles in your video.
I use noise canceling software in my videos. I’ll make another showing what I’m referring to. I couldn’t drive and reach over there safely.

OP suggests it takes Ford ...months.. to get a windshield. Another member stated his was replaced by Safelite.

If it’s truly a windshield issue and it were mine then an answer is that a rock hits the windshield tonight, breaks it, and I pay my $100 deductible to have Safelite replace the windshield tomorrow and make the problem go away. I would trust them on a replacement more that my local Ford dealership anyway..

I have the rattle as well and it is annoying, especially on a new vehicle. Have not made a service appointment yet but I will. The warranty should/will cover the fix even if I have to battle the dealership a bit. However, maybe we (MAV community) should ease back a bit on the negativity to the OP. Perhaps you didn't like the video or don't feel the complaint is warranted, it's ok to refrain from being a downer, just saying. Still love my MAV overall!!! :)

I’ll be posting another video of the noise it’s making. According to the research I’ve done, which has been extensive, Ford hasn’t done anything to correct the issue and it’s very well known. Service department doesn’t seem to know any fixes beside replacing the windshield. Actually getting the windshield replaced takes months and multiple service appointments. I could blast the radio, have a fog horn sounding, and dogs barking and the rattle will still be plenty present. Been on the phone with 4 different departments at Ford where it’s been all talk and no action. I shouldn’t have to deal with this in a brand new vehicle.
If that sound is so annoying to you that you have to make a video about it, and then won't even give the service department a chance to address it, then you should get rid of the truck while you can still get at least what you paid for it...

Seriously. Life's too short to be that miserable over something that minor that is easily solved by eliminating the source of the problem. I'm sure someone else would love to be driving that truck.

A dash rattle and it’s a POS… too funny 😂
Meanwhile Sante cruzs are having their transmissions replaced with similar mileage on them. There was a guy who's Sante Cruz had the transmission replaced before it was even delivered to the dealership.

I just wish that schools would teach when to use "seen" and when to use "saw".

Some context. I have Asperger’s syndrome and noises like this are quite overwhelming for me. My slower monotone speech is a result of this as well. I’ll try my best to be more animated but it’s quite difficult for me so no promises haha. One of my employees has a 22 XLT and has had the same issue and their dealer unfortunately never fixed it. I’m going to make an update to this shortly. Thank you all for the feedback and support.

Buying the SC with the dual clutch trans is a huge mistake, especially if you plan on doing any kind of overlanding or light off roading. The base engine with the conventional auto trans is the only way to go if you need/want to go with the SC. Just a shame that it's pretty underpowered. So glad Ford moved away from their dual clutch transmissions as they just seem to be a nightmare reliability wise.

I agree with the OP. If I paid 25-35k for a new vehicle and it had issues, I would try to get it fixed too. There are too many people here on this forum that make fun of good people pointing out an issue that is common for this vehicle. Please try to help the OP and refrain from the unnecessary name calling.

I hope you do also! I think I will take the B out today for some exercise. I kind of miss the squeaks and rattles.

Don't worry about it. I promise the folks calling you out on here are not "perfect" humans, either. Wish you all the best in getting it fixed. I'll be keeping the forum update on how my 16th dealer visit for this issue goes as well, partly because I want to help others with the issue and partly because I want to annoy the Ford shills.

Yep reviews were mentioning the tranny getting heated off/road and its ability to offroad were not awesome-

I dont understand the corporate bootlickers who make excuses for bad QC. Yes, the Maverick is a lower cost vehicle but its still $20,000+ which is no small amount. We should be holding companies accountable for flaws, not making fun of OP for pointing out flaws
