I placed both orders the same day. Yes, there’s build quality issues for sure and crappy dealership experiences. That doesn’t mean it’s a bad truck. The Maverick is a brilliant concept and will have growing pains like any other.

Yeah I’ll make my decision either way but love to hear about everyone’s experiences, reasons, likes/dislikes etc.. The discourse is vital for industry improvement and accountability. I have a tiny presence online and Ford has contacted me like 25 times since January. They are listening for sure!

The Maverick is not unlike most vehicles built for other markets like South America. They need cheaper, more utilitarian pickups. Ford finally realized they could do the same in North America. A couple of the cost cuts were questionable but overall it’s an amazing value anyway you carve it.
