  1. New Maverick on the Price Is Right!

Thanks for sharing and I like your Mustang.
  2. Windshield Chips

I got caught in a brief but intense sand storm in CA. outside of Barstow and must have about a million little pits in the glass. Looked at getting it replaced and was told it would be about a grand. It's only an issue when the sun comes blasting in at certain times of the day and occasionally at...
  3. Maverick Gas

When I fill my Hybrid at my local WalMart it usually says I have between 480 and 525 mile to empty but it changes rapidly depending on how I drive. If I hit the highway it will drop to under 350 and if I just stay in town, it goes over 400. I think it's just the way to generalize your overall...
  4. how many pounds lbs can the tailgate support?

I found online from Ford that it should not exceed 400 LBS spread evenly across the Tailgate and for some reason it's 500 LBS with the tailgate in the halfway up point. I just moved a 368 LB Gun safe and had no issues and that included tipping the safe upright on the edge of the tailgate.
  5. New glass

Anyone whose had their windshield replaced willing to share the cost? My XLT Lariat Lux has about 10 million little chips from getting caught in a brief but intense sand storm and needs replacement but I just changed insurance companies and don't want my low rates changed. It is the "Quiet"...
  6. Choosing a tonneau cover

I bought a Gatorback with the polymer panels and am relatively happy with it. It looks exactly like the Ford tri-panel hard cover and it fits well, is easy to remove and re-install, has a cable release for each panel and is relatively water resistant. (in heavy rain or the carwash some water...
  7. Caveat Emptor - Ford fines dealerships

Now if they could just do something about ADM (Additional Dealer Markup) of which all goes to the greedy dealership and none to Ford Corp.
  8. New motor? LOL.

I thought that's what it already puts out with both the gas and electric motors combined without a turbo.
  9. regarding the Maverick CR got it all wrong!

Some of us got "Sucker Punched" by the dealership when they hid the ADM (added dealer markup) in the paperwork with no mention upfront. I asked my dealership about ADM when I put down my 1K deposit when I ordered it and was told they didn't do that. I was happy I actually won the Maverick...
  10. My hybrid sounds like a spaceship!

I haven't noticed any abhorrent sounds while using regenerative braking, maybe I need to turn the stereo down.
  11. Sitting a dealership with leak

I tend to agree with you on how much a reliable service department can keep customers coming back to a dealership. When I lived in Sacramento there were many Ford dealerships around and I found one to have an outstanding service department and that's the dealership I used for everything. I...
  12. Calling all that are happy with little to no issues!

I just had mine out for 150 mile round trip Dr's visit and used about a 1/4 tank, about 37 mpg at 75 mph. Only issues I've had are some minor recalls taken care of at my first service (7500 miles) I now have a bit over 8100 miles and still loving my hybrid. In town milage is a bit down as I live...
  13. Calling all late 2023 and 2024 Hybrid Owners...soliciting your thoughts

I have had my 23 Lariat Lux Hybrid for just over a year and about 8K miles without any problems affiliated with the truck. I have had the recalls that applied to my specific truck taken care of by my selling dealer and still to this day, my only negative it that my dealership hit me with hidden...
  14. Trucklet Destroyer of Worlds has arrived.

Congratulations on having an Honest dealer and on our new Maverick. I hope you love it like I do mine.
  15. Second Thoughts

My Maverick is not garaged and so far this winter we have been down in the low to mid twenties at night and I have had no issues, knock on steel.
  16. XLT Maverick built, not shipped, noticed error on window sticker.

Maybe you can get them to take it off the (ADM-additional dealer markup) that they will likely hit you with when you go to pick it up. Ordered vehicles do not always match your actual order.
  17. It's such a awesome vehicle - I don't understand any of the complaints.

I still love my Maverick and so far, knock on wood, I have had absolutely zero issues with it. I just took it into my dealership for it's first service and recall. The service department was much better to deal with than sales (sales ripped me off by hiding 4K markup, I almost walked away) and...
  18. 5 Windshield chips in the last 2 months!!

I had to do a road trip in my 2023 XLT Lariat Hybrid and not even 30 miles in, a big rig tossed something and hit the windshield hard, but I saw no damage. When I washed the bugs off at the next fill up, I noticed a very small nick in the glass, no big deal. The next day, just after filling up...
  19. New: 2024 Ford Ranchero

This story has to be clickbait as there are too many idiosyncrasies to be real. Unibody versus body on frame, Mustang running horse grill medallion. Mustang car and Mach E front ends and I have never known the Courier to be called a Ranchero even in Australia.
  20. My hood inverted!

I've been using an unlimited monthly mechanical car wash with blowers since my Maverick was new and have not had any issues yet, It seems to do a good job and uses softened water as our water is chocked full of minerals, I do use their provided drying towels as it never gets as dry as I would...
