What exactly does "Final 2022MY Maverick Orders Due 9/1/22"?

Does it mean Ford is planning to build all the rest of the 2022MY Mav's by 9/1/22, or that company headquarters is imposing some sort of a deadline on dealers to turn in any orders they haven't bothered to turn in up until now? Or what? I suppose Tim will tell us soon enough, but I'm curious right now.

At this point, there is no hope for those of us with LUX packages. We're just playing out the string here, waiting for MY23.

Good luck to all those still hoping to sneak in under the wire...
I have all of my LUX Lariat 1st Editions scheduled

Well Ford has to build first editions in 22. But word is no LUX packages will be scheduled for the rest of the model year. I just don't see my January XLT LUX happening until MY23.

My guess it’s a deadline for either dealers to submit their stock orders or for changes to be made to retail orders.

Yes I bet it is stock orders. I forget they're going to make a bunch of stock trucks. So great Ford will send trucks to dealers to mark up $10k on the lots while thousands of us sit waiting on our orders...

Too bad Ford couldn't lease those trucks for those of us still waiting. I'd be fine driving a non-lux XLT for a year while I wait on my order, but I don't think removing it at this point is worth it (probably wouldn't get scheduled anyways)

(Just something that companies who care about their customers would do)

My understanding is that this was the last week for hybrid orders to be scheduled unless you have a FE, probably because of battery availability, so if you have an ECO ordered it may get scheduled thru the week of September 5th.
Short version, if you have a hybrid order, you and I are MY23. If you have an ECO ordered, good luck.

Yes, Believe @fordvideoguy mentioned that Ford will build 4k eco boost orders with no lux packages and same restrictions on stock orders if they run through all the retail orders. Think Tim will correct me if my understanding or paraphrasing is incorrect.

I just got my VIN number from my dealer today. Didn’t change a thing and fully expected to get a MY23. Literally had no hope left lol. I’m honestly surprised after the email basically saying if we didn’t remove constrained items we probably wouldn’t get scheduled.
I have a 9/15:21 order. I was shocked to get scheduled last week. Build date for me is the week of 9/26. I had assumed I’d get a 23

Ford doesn't do shit like that though. They keep their customers in the dark just wondering wtf to do....their communication sucks.
Their communication system is working as designed. Their communications are based on marketing considerations. They string you along so you won't go buy something else. It is an order retention technique.

We cancelled our October21 order in June (Lariat Lux w/ Copilot360) and wife just got an email that it's been scheduled for 8/29 build.
Depending on how you "cancelled" your order, you may still have a shot at retaining it. There's apparently a specific process Ford requires. Perhaps @fordvideoguy can explain it in detail?

I have a 10/26 order that is also scheduled for 9/26. That just means we will probably get bumped down the line to October-November.

I would say if you told your dealer to cancel your order, it's up to them to actually cancel the order. Looks like they didn't.
