What exactly does "Final 2022MY Maverick Orders Due 9/1/22"?

Does it mean Ford is planning to build all the rest of the 2022MY Mav's by 9/1/22, or that company headquarters is imposing some sort of a deadline on dealers to turn in any orders they haven't bothered to turn in up until now? Or what? I suppose Tim will tell us soon enough, but I'm curious right now.

I'm guessing here so bear with me; September 1st is a Thursday and Sep 1-3 will be part of the last week of scheduling for August. The final day to spec change a 22 is still 8-25 which is the Thursday before 9-1. This is all based on fleet news distribution bulletins published on various sites.

The last FDNB I read had the gas MY22 balance out on 11-11 with the FHEV on 11-14. The 14th is also suppose to be the first day for MY23 so the new order guide will have few major changes.

We already know about the Tremor, split back seats, black appearance package and XL wheel option.

The split backseat isn't a known yet. Someone noted that it had the same verbiage for the MY22 trucks.

I was ready to roll my October order into a 2023 order but today I got the email saying I was scheduled for 8/29.

I have a hybrid lariat lux on order, so I thought there was 0% chance of being scheduled this late in the game.

How is it possible that you are scheduled for just 2 weeks from now.
I was scheduled in july for mid september on an hybrid xlt lux 360…?

Peps, that is when Ford sends an email to let you know, but many call or chat and find out much early, about 2 months. Found out on July 11th when saw people with October orders getting schedule with a build week of 8/29, which at last check on Friday was 9/12. So expect that Ford email on 8.29 if all goes well and not moved to October.

Because they were actually placed on the schedule weeks ago, but were just informed now, which makes sense. Getting an email recently doesn't mean the scheduling was done recently.

Yeah if only Ford would have sent out a couple of emails telling customers that certain packages were constrained and that they should drop those packages if they wanted to get their order more quickly.

Ford doesn't do shit like that though. They keep their customers in the dark just wondering wtf to do....their communication sucks.

Is this sarcasm? Ford did tell people reconsider taking off lux etc.

OK I ordered Jan 14. 2022.....nothing crazy.......XL eco boost, trailer hitch, co-pilot 360 and a full size spare. What are my odds of getting a 2022?

I would say if you told your dealer to cancel your order, it's up to them to actually cancel the order. Looks like they didn't.

You're correct. We put a refundable deposit on it again. Although we bought a Civic when we cancelled because we couldn't wait, we're thinking trading our Odyssey for the Maverick when it gets here.

Honestly thinking I'll switch from hybrid to 2.0 when I reorder for 2023. Was speaking with my coworker who works with the inventory manager and she was telling him Hybrids are just super constrained. I know this, but hearing it from her is just making me really think if I would be willing to wait just for that. Honestly I don't drive a ton so the fuel savings would not be that significant, my current vehicle is almost 2 years old and I don't even have 20,000 on it.. So just going to think it over until order banks open up..

At this point enough media people have seen the Tremor that I don't think they're adding the split seat; somebody would have mentioned the Tremor having it.

Just got some good news from ford chat. Scheduled for Oct 3rd build week with a VIN. Granger Ford order placed on September 14th.
