  1. Should I... trade a 2023 XL hybrid for a 2024 XL ecoboost

The EcoBlast provides more Smiles Per Gallon, in my opinion.
  2. OXFORD WHITE Maverick Photos / Club

And now for something completely different.... Our Oxford White Hybrid is used daily to feed livestock, cattle, sheep and horses. In early March, we had 7 inches of rain in a few days which turned our farm lanes to mud. The Hybrid handled the mud admirably. What a great truck! More rain...
  3. Factory windshield wipers/motor - trash?

Thanks for posting this. My eldest Maverick is two years old and the wipers still work fine, but I will pick up some new blades the next time I'm at Walmart - put them in the back seat until they are needed.
  4. Who Says the Maverick Isn't a Real Truck?

Don't worry, the high quality interior plastic of your VW will protect little Gonzo Jr. A lot of folks drive full sized pickups because of 17 year old drivers.
  5. What's your Maverick mileage and ownership time?

I think the Ford Maverick is such a bargain that my wife and I own three of them, hers, mine and ours (farm truck). The first was my EcoBoost XLT purchased from a dealer lot with substantial ADM in July 2022. It now has 9,282 miles and has returned 30.33 MPG, manually calculated. Next was the...
  6. How are you paying for Maverick?

I don't think there was a promotional rate for new orders.
  7. I’m in production as well!

I am really glad to hear that so many of you are getting in production successfully. As for the amount of time it takes to get from the factory to your dealer, It's a crap shoot. I recall that delivery time seemed to pass very, very slowly for me. It seemed to take forever. Ford sent me an e...
  8. 12 Volt Battery Drain Solved on Hybrid Maverick .

So, turning off FordPass and communications didn't solve your problems after all?
  9. I got 40 mpg with my 2.0 eco boost.

It's not totally impossible. It's close anyway. Only front wheel drive, it's more efficient.
  10. Why do so many posts about hybrids talk about trickle chargers and jumpers

Probably not. Even Consumer Reports says so. Consumer Reports: Hybrids Make Great Sense for Reliability and Fuel Economy-Minded Car Buyers - Consumer Reports Ford Maverick Hybrid Among Top 10 Most Satisfying Vehicles (fordauthority.com) quoting Consumer Reports
  11. Why do so many posts about hybrids talk about trickle chargers and jumpers

I don't use the Ford Pass app either. I turned off all of the communication settings. I don't have problems with the battery. It could be a coincidence.
  12. Why do so many posts about hybrids talk about trickle chargers and jumpers

And after you do these searches, keep in mind that There Is No Alternative to the Maverick Hybrid. Anywhere. By any other manufacturer in the whole wide world. This distresses those other manufacturers, some of whom promised that every car they made in 6 years would be an EV. Maybe those Goofy...
  13. I got mine by surprise!

I just can't understand WHY Ford takes SO DANG LONG to build these wonderful trucks! Still! I don't know if Ford is trying to piss off their few remaining customers, or if they just don't care. I am past due for a new F150, but I am not buying another Ford until Ford can DELIVER.
  14. You’ve gotta know when to fold ’em

So far this month. Toyota Recalls Over 600,000 Trucks and SUVs Over Safety Concerns - The New York Times (nytimes.com)
  15. Inexpensive CD player that bluetooths to Maverick

I really miss my CDs on long trips. I bought two Amazon players, and neither would pair up with the Maverick Bluetooth system. One has the capability to play thru the FM radio band but doesn't sound so good. Better than nuffin'. I have better luck with thumb drives.
  16. Why so much negativity

Agreed. It is possible that Mary Barra, CEO of GM, is responsible for a significant portion of the negative comments on the forum. Why else would GM pay her $25 million a year?
  17. Hybrid helping on the farm

Amos, that's a great question! I can't answer it since I live in almost tropical Virginia. Hopefully the OP will chime in.
