I had my 2023 AWD Ecoboost in two weeks ago for a state inspection and while I had it in I asked the dealer to look at a noise coming from the front end. I told them it sounded like a wheel bearing going bad but they told me that the tires were "chopped" from not being rotated. I only have 22k...
So much for them working out all the bugs for the 2023 model year.
Between this, the trailer light recall and the TSB about transmission fluid contamination plus all of the features removed due to "chip shortages," I worry that 2023 might end up being a lemon-year.
Worse. Its a dealer installed battery powered one with a non-replaceable battery. Now you get to go spend $100+ dollars in a few years when the battery dies.
You're not putting on a fancy body kit or tuning the turbo to get more horsepower.
You're modifying your truck to be dishonest at the expense of anyone who buys your truck after you.
Used car dealers who modify odometers are scum, you would be no different even if your intentions are just to...
So morality and risk of speeding tickets aside, you're still breaking federal law.
49 U.S. CODE § 32703
“A person may not (1) advertise for sale, sell, use, install, or have installed a device that makes an odometer of a motor vehicle register a mileage different from the mileage the...
There's no way an accident like this didn't damage the transaxle. With how that front suspension is collapsed, the CV axle would've acted like a punch and destroyed the bearings.
Dang, these look awesome on the truck. Going to have to see about getting a set once I wear out the Pirellis.
How far off is your speedometer with those installed?
I don't see any body changes in 2025 coming if the trucks are still selling unless there's also a change to the Bronco Sport. Why would Ford waste money on retooling if they don't need to?
I think we'll see an ST version for 2025, similar to how we got the tremor for 2023.
This is what the second dealer I went to did after the first one I went to gave me the runaround.
I just don't understand it. The parts are like $10 retail and can do 5 vehicles.
Is Ford trying to make this recall a bigger clusterf*** than the air bag recall?
Add this to the list of my dealer f*** ups:
Was supposed to get my trailer lights recall done by their mobile techs. After waiting for a month for the parts and being scheduled for two weeks, they called at the last minute and said the tech doesn't have the tool on his truck to do this recall...
I've run E15 for about 1/2 of the 150k miles in the Fiesta I had and gave to my step daughter who is still driving it and never had any issues with the fuel system or engine (at least until the mechanic blew the motor trying to change the timing belt).
I'm getting within 1 MPG with 88 Octane...
AWD was the major reason. With my house being in the mountains of Pennsylvania, there were times where I almost couldn't make it home with my fiesta. People swear by snow tires, but we'd get a lot of early or late snow storms and people around me don't know how to stop tailgating even when the...
Finally my dealer got the parts in! Took them three weeks. I ended up having to call them, even though they said they'd call me once they received the parts.
Mobile service is scheduled for the June 23rd. I'll post an update once it's done.
Really disappointed in my dealer.
If there's an open recall, your dealer can't sell you the truck, so it probably is:
A. A 2022
B. Already repaired
C. Outside the recall dates
If you're worried about your truck having this issue, grab a light tester from Harbor Freight, they're like $5. Or just plug your trailer in and see if...
I'd like to have the transmission temperature when I'm towing.
All these new cars have fancy screens that could display engine trouble codes, engine and transmission information, customizations to shift patterns, etc and its all wasted.
