That package has always been optional on XLT since the beginning. I've asked the brand manager to add it as standard on XLT and XL.

Just because it is there, you don't have to use it. It doesn't activate itself in backing situations.

Both. The abvance notice I read mentions vehicles with Brake Controller, it will affects Braking function as well as brake lights.

I see why you had to sign up to AT&T for you wi-fi. You have a 2025 Maverick and they had the "Premium Connected Services" and "WiFi Hotspot" separate. On the 2026 Maverick, the WiFi Hotspot is included with the "Ford Connectivity Package".

I tried this on a 2025 XL Hybrid FWD yesterday after it received the recall and it did not automatically set the brake. I wonder if the recall changed that. I also tried on a 2026 ecoboost and hybrid and it did not set the parking brake. This test was performed on level pavement, not on an incline.

There is recall 25S52 that is for 2025 Maverick both hybrid and ecoboost built between April 11, 2024 and May 7, 2025. No fix yet.

It doesn't look like it's ready for OTA. It takes about 20-30 minutes at the dealer.

We got word that we can now do the recall on 2025 Maverick. We have completed 5 successfully

I think this recall affects 2022-2024 Ecoboost Mavericks. I haven't seen the fix available yet.

I think that they are talking about auto hold not auto e-brake.

UPDATE: The recall on the 2025 Mavericks are not working yet. We have called the head of our region on the service side and they are now saying that they hope the recall will be available on Thursday. I will keep you posted.

No but the recall is available for the 2026 models. Dealer can complete it in 30 minutes so you can take it home after purchase.
