🗓 2023 Maverick ordering now starts SEPTEMBER 15 (not August 2)

I have a RAV4, so it doesn't matter when, or if, I get a Maverick. The RAV is 5 years old and I like to get into a new car every 3 to 5 years. Problems, problems.

My plan B and plan C dealers both called me this afternoon, excited to tell me that the order date "just got moved from Aug 15th to August 2nd" and to see if I wanted to come in Tuesday to place my order.

When I stopped in yesterday my salesman wanted me to come in on August 15th when the order bank opened. I told him it would open on August 2nd. News to him but we set an appointment for the 2nd. Wondering if I should call and let him know the company he works for has now changed the date again........................

Im starting to feel the same way. Just get another vehicle and then sell the ford when it comes in. It’s such a mess I don’t even know where to start.

Not surprised about the delay because this will allow time to get the 22 orders converted to 23 before the new 23 orders start. I just wonder how long it will take to get a Sept. 15 hybrid order built. Will my dealer be able to give a good approximation? Gonna be a long wait, I'm afraid.

And enough time for another price increase.

Your dealer will be unable to answer that question with any degree of certainty. The people that are building your Hybrid have no idea. If they do not, who would? If I were you, hunker down for a wait of a year, or more. Good luck.

Called my salesman at Simmons Rockwell in Halstead, PA. Didn't know about the change, didn't know about the new colors, etc. Ford has created a real mess and NO communication. In the meantime us peons who don't have the ability to pay cash for these trucks are watching the interest rates climb. I am done unless I can find a Maverick that was cancelled and coming in somewhere, which I don't have much hope for.

I would rather have a firm date with everything in order and a firm process that FORD communicates to us. Never heard any thing from Ford directly concerning Aug 2nd. The week of Sep 15th would be tough for me as I have family obligations that week. Hope I can do the reorder over the phone. Guess we will have to see what Tim says about this as he has been our most trustworthy source. With 23s starting to be made at the end of October it's cutting it close.

I posted this earlier and was told… nope August 2…. Like I would make up this horrible news.

I never said that you were. You're calling out a manufacturer who is dealing with the same problems that every other manufacturer is.

Having the same problems is understandable, however refusing to address those problems the way FORD has repeatedly screwed up Bronco ordering, Lightening ordering and Maverick ordering is unforgivable.
