🗓 2023 Maverick ordering now starts SEPTEMBER 15 (not August 2)

So I watched Tims video. Not sure if I missed it. But will the 2023 pricing and options/color choices be announced/put online before September? It would be nice to know this ahead of time.

Tim said he hoped so, but if it's anything like other recent order bank openings (according to a local dealer here), probably not. My local dealer mentioned the following:

...I am hesitant to recommend scheduling a dealer visit just yet, as the last 2 order bank launches that Ford did (Job 2 2022 Bronco and Job 1 2023 Transit), both got pushed by a day or two as the appropriate teams apparently didn't get all the data loaded into the ordering tools in time, or some such technical issue.

I asked the Ford rep that question today and was told no. The dealer will get the info on the 15th. Ford will update the public Maverick website in October.

Well. With no change in MY build then it means shorter delays between order and delivery. Deep sigh…. Still waiting on my order date June 14th, 2021 XLT hybrid… FoMoCo, are you really still out there??? I feel like you’re just a dead end customer service line these days. BTW, nice people on your phone line. They never tell me anything terribly happy or overtly useful but they are nice.

Doesn't this just make sense? They are still scheduling the 2022s in August, so how would we know if we are getting a 2022 or getting rolled over to a 2023 by August 2?

I asked the Ford rep that question today and was told no. The dealer will get the info on the 15th. Ford will update the public Maverick website in October.

Why so worried about ordering a MY23? I can't get my June order filled yet. Have had a VIN since May and 8 different production dates.

I really want a Maverick, and I really need a vehicle - but with Ford being so incompetent, I might have to look for something else at this point. How they can move the date up and up, then suddenly go "oh, you know what, let's go ahead and move it back a month instead".

Well, It will remove doubt for those of us who may still get that 22 vin #. I really don't think it will change or delay any production since the 23's were not going to start production until somethiing around the 24th of October. Hopefully a little less confusion without slowing anything down.

In addition to this change for MY23 orders, it appears Ford is really taking a timeout here... Blue Oval post suggests that Maverick scheduling for this week has been cancelled.

I'm expecting ordering for MY23 Mavericks to end up only being available on Sep 31st. No orders before or after that date.

My money's on April 1st.

Yeah - I think it is a smart and necessary thing Ford is doing. However, it is baffling that they couldn't foresee this several months ago. Instead they moved up the order date - then decided 4 days before the order date to change it. One hand doesn't seem to know what the other is doing and we are sitting here trying to figure out what they are trying to say in sign language.

i guess my dealer was right when he told me that I dont need to come in next Tuesday. What a joke this has turned into.

Everybody is just expecting too much from the 16 year old summer temps. I mean like chill. I'm working like almost 5 hours a day and like its a bummer.
