I got re-ended in August. Initial quote to repair was $4,600 and insurance of the other driver said, 'no problem'. When they opened it up, they found the frame bent, and not NEARLY as bad as the photos the OP shows. Mine was hard to even tell it had been hit until they took the bumper off...
Me too. As well as my salesman when I ordered. But I noticed a thread on R6G that said no. Something with the brake system because as you point out the engine and tranny are used on the Bronco. I had my salesman contact Ford today and he verified that the 2024 Ranger owners manual...
I ordered a 2024 Ranger to tow behind our motorhome. But according to several threads on R6G the 2024 Ranger will NOT be flat towable. That is unofficial but I can find nothing to confirm or deny.
Guess I need to cancel that order.
Your salesperson absolutely SHOULD have known. It was sent out by Ford numerous times and discussed at length here, on Facebook, on other forums and on many Youtube videos. If your salesperson had his/her head in the sand and ignored all of the emails and bulletins from Ford that's on them...
Well I hope that's right. I know insurance laws vary state to state, and I don't have a lot of confidence they will take care of me but I guess we will see next week.
I think I will start doing used vehicle searching so I know what a "replacement" would cost when they call next week.
Had not thought of CarMax, I'll check that out thanks!
Wow! Just looked and they have 9 in stock. But all are at least $10k more than I paid for mine if you include delivery. Gonna have to wait to see what the insurance pay out is.
No idea either though I can say he has had good info throughout unlike a lot of salespeople. He currently has a Maverick and has a 2024 on order. He noted that per his information hybrids are "over sold" compared to "expected production". But I'll put the order in anyway.
Thanks, I think I'll be doing that next week. Have to wait to see what the insurance company pays out first. Not looking forward to paying that dealer market adjustment just because some jerk can't drive.
I agree but no one has a hybrid Lariat sitting around. I'm going to make that point to the insurance company though.
My salesman said they do have some allocations left but he said at this late date it is highly unlikely I get a 2024 hybrid built. He did suggest getting the order in but told...
Ordered a hybrid Lariat in September of 2022
Received it in late March of 2023
At 900 miles on the odometer someone backed into me on a city street and dented left rear and tail gate and broke the blind side sensor. Never got a chance to get that fixed as we were still waiting on parts when...
That's darn good! The 6.8 V10 in the E450 gets 10mpg, doesn't matter if I'm towing or not. It just always gets 10mpg. Brutal when gas is north of $4.50 here.
I was hoping for that as well, AWD Maverick would be the perfect Toad, I think. We have a Phoenix Cruiser 2552 . Ford E450. My Cherokee was fine but weighed in at a little over 4k, the Maverick should be a little lighter.
Well that is true on any Toad really. I have a trickle line hooked up from the MH to prevent that, so it's never been an issue for me before.
Just wanted to make sure @GPSMan wasn't saying it was the hybrid battery. Which really makes no sense as I understand how these work but wanted to be...
Thanks, that actually looks pretty good. Better than what was done on my Jeep Cherokee in fact.
How was it putting the Maverick in tow mode? The Cherokee was a pain. You had to stand on one leg facing east and chant while pushing switches and taking out fuses.
Do you have a shot of the front of the Maverick? I'm planning on getting Roadmaster to install the base plate and curious what it looks like and what they had to remove.
They also have a few used Broncos at ridiculous prices but I guess you can't blame them for trying. There is one in light blue I think has been on the lot for a year.
Never dealt with them off the lot, just my Maverick order and they handled that very professionally.
Just got my bed mat and...
The Maverick seat is a full bench not a 60/40 split like some others. So, if you have a car seat installed you have to remove the car seat in order to access the under-seat storage. It's not the end of the earth but it is a dumb design, and a 60/40 split would be a far better solution. Though...
