Before I saw a random YouTube video of the Maverick on June 10th, only 2 days after the official reveal, I was going to get an suv when my current car died. I was looking at a Audi Q5 or Kia Telluride.

Then this little truck came to me as if Ford saw me at Home Depot loading bags mulch into my cars trunk(it would only take me 3 trips to get the 12 bags I usually need) and made a truck for me. Glad the timing worked out and I will now save well over $20k and get a truck!

Long story short. What were you originally planning on buying before the Mav was presented to you on a silver platter?

2022 Nissan Frontier Pro4X…MSRP $41,460 sitting on lot right where I parked it Saturday afternoon.

I still have a June unscheduled hybrid order with MSRP of $25,000.

I could text my cousin now and pick the frontier up in a couple hours or continue the wait… what y’all thinking?
Since you asked, no way I would pay $41K for that. 👎

Kia Stinger. The Hybrid Maverick was compelling enough to make me think that I could live without the extra quickness and handling of a sports sedan. (if I ever get my Maverick) Compared to my current Cadillac ATS and the Stinger I was planning on getting, I will lose quickness, great handling and all wheel drive but I get a much lower price, double the fuel economy on regular gas, more space inside, the pickup bed, not worrying about running the front bumper into things, a cooler vibe, and a better ride.

The maverick I ordered came out to 36800.
So that's not unreasonable
Depends what you're looking for. The only advantage I see with the Frontier is off-road performance. The Mav will own every other measurable metric. Styling is personal choice.

I wasn't looking at all. My 2012 F150 got stolen. After 4 months it was found abandoned and with some damage, but I have already moved on to my Maverick (finishing production). I had no idea anything but the 70's version existed. I went to look at what F150's/Rangers were going for new and spotted the Maverick on Ford's website which led me to search out information and I knew right away it would be my next vehicle. I really wanted a 'smaller' pickup, even though I loved my F150, and the Mav just ticked so many boxes for me. The great thing is it will be waiting for me when we get back to the states in a few weeks so I get to go right into a new vehicle.

I was looking at a ford ranger. But I keep hearing people talking about the Maverick then I looked at it. I fell in love with it right away.

Was looking at used frontiers and Rangers, didn't know the Maverick existed. Stumbled across it when I was looking up YouTube video reviews for small/midsized trucks while researching the other two.

When I looked and found I could buy new for the price of used, and get a hybrid for the gas mileage, I quit looking elsewhere and ordered my Maverick.

I have been wanting a truck for a while - F-150 most likely. But I didn't want the size, fuel consumption, etc. Poof. One day maverick was released, saw it on a car news site. And here we are.

Possibly a Ranger, nice room but too tall for my liking. I have an F150 so the Maverick will be a great outdoor hunting, ranching buggy! Can't wait to get it. I was originally going to trade my 2014 C-Max in on it but decided to just buy it outright. The C-Max is a great car, especially since FORD just replaced the transmission for free at 87,000 miles, runs like brand new!

We have two old Mazda B series pickups that we use daily on our farm. Terrific vehicles, I bought the oldest one in 1999. I need something low enough that I can reach into the bed to get tools, feed, fencing and so forth. My 2016 F150 is just too tall, especially when we go to the feed store and load a dozen bags of feed. We were planning to get a Nissan Frontier if we needed to replace a Mazda, but the gas mileage was as bad as the F150, and the Nissan dealer sucks.

When I saw that the Maverick Hybrid would get 40 MPG, and I could reach the middle of the bed, we placed our order. As the price of gasoline keeps going up, the Maverick looks better every day. On paper anyway, still no production date...

Well I had just drove my Chevy Silverado Z71 from Tennessee to Las Vegas Nevada see my dad. When we got there he insisted that we drive his Camry Hybrid all over the place I had driven it before from Nevada to Southern California and liked the car. At this time gas was a little bit over $4 a gallon in Las Vegas. Conversation had come up between me and my dad that I would like to go head and get a hybrid for my next vehicle. When I left Las Vegas it cost me right at $65 to fill up my Silverado. A few days prior to that we have filled up my dad's Camry hybrid took 42 dollars to fill it up and for the two and a half weeks I was drove it all over the place. I made a joke to my dad about taking his Camry back to Tennessee. I had seen an article in one of the car magazines about the new Ford Maverick I'm the kind of person that does a lot of research before buying something I got as much information as I could on it which wasn't a whole lot and decided to order one in the beginning of August. Have not got it yet but I do know there's a Santa Claus and Christmas is coming soon.

Well at first I was looking at a Bronco Sport even took one for a test drive. Then found out they were going to make full size Broncos, and switched to that. Then I found out the gas mileage 18 City 20 highway 😳 NOPE! Then heard about the Maverick in June should have put my order in right then. But thought about it for 2 weeks and finally put my order in on the 4th of July. After a few changes to my order it's scheduled to be built the week of February 28th 😁

I was going to buy a Kia Soul. My nephew has one and I liked the room and the way it felt And drove. That is until I saw the maverick on the internet. It looks too handy to pass up.
