I meant without tailpipe emissions numbers. I donāt think the EPA is going to take a vehicle manufacturers word for how clean their engines are. Way too many have gotten caught (AMC, Mack, VW) in the past to trust their numbers.
This is precisely what causes a lot of the animosity, āthat probably shouldā.
Is this still the USA or should we all get ready to get in line for a vehicle that some think should be mandated for the commoner. Where does this stop?
And what about the incredible amount of OIL needed to lubricate these huge high friction loss gearboxes.

Meaningless response.
Would a Funny Car beat a Top Fuel Dragster if the dragster had 10" wide slicks, hell yes.
Stick to apples and apples, equal or similar tires must be an important part of this conversation other wise it's just silly.
Right, both the Maverick and my old Frontier 4x4 would automatically turn off the traction control depending on the mode (Maverick) or use of 4 Low (NISSAN). I had a 2wd RAM with a HEMI and forgot to turn off the TC on a muddy road. Started to bog down and when I put my foot down there was...
Traction control has got more pickups stuck in mud because you canāt spin the mud off of the tires.
And you trust traction control but not antilock brakes?
