Nothing. I was planning on driving my 2005 Ford SportTrac(162,000 miles) until the wheels fell off. Especially since they quit making them in 2010. The Maverick improved on the One thing my ST falls short on, MPG. Nice to go from 16 mpg to 40+. Though I will be giving up a few things like it's 5,000 lb towing(sold my boat,) almost full size power rear window, and heat&air vents in the rear.
I'll probably end up keeping the SportTrac anyways.

I was looking at used hybrid SUVs, and was SHOCKED by the prices. Heard about the Maverick and when I saw I could get a new hybrid truck for less than the used SUVs, I ordered mine right away. My 2007 Prius is giving up the ghost and costing way too much in repairs, but I really love the peaceful quiet & great gas mileage of a hybrid. I ordered on 8/9/21 and have a build date of 2/7/22, hope they come through for me!

Oxford White, only added mats, full size spare, and drop-in bed liner.

I was planning to drive my 2011 F150 XLT, with 198,000 trouble free miles on it until the wheels fell off. It's been the best vehicle I've owned.

But . . .

My wife came home from a shopping center a couple of weeks ago and said she saw one of the new Ford Mavericks in a parking lot, and said it looked great. I went online and checked it out, read the specs, watched a few YouTube videos and the next day (1/11/22) I went to a Ford dealer to check it out.

The dealer had a hybrid just off the truck waiting on make-ready for a customer to pick up later and he let me take it around the block. I couldn't believe the quality of the car and it's just over $20,000.

I tried to order the hybrid on the spot and the salesman explained I'd have to wait until the 2023's were released for the hybrid and so I decided to go ahead and order the Eco.

Either another Honda Civic Si or a VW GTI... I never thought I would buy a p/u truck (well sort of) or a domestic car (I am 57 years old and never had one)... I am not sure why but this little truck caught my eye so I ordered a XLT, Lux pkg, 360, FX4, tri-fold tourneau cover, mud flaps, sliding r. window and all season mats... I hope I don't regret it(if I ever get it).

My CMax is going to be 10y old in a couple of years and I was planning on trying to get a used Mach E then, but then the Maverick debuted.

Everything I like about my CMax, but with a bed and nearly $10k less than a comparable Escape Hybrid. That was all I needed to order sight unseen.

I only wish I didn't get confused about reservations and the order bank. My order ended up not being placed/confirmed until July (my fault). Now I'm looking at a March build.

Last July I went in to buy a Ford Transit Connect to securely haul an electric bike out of the weather. I did not like the no-hybrid option, and the salesman mentioned the Maverick. Thought about it, and just loved the 4 doors, the hybrid, the great interior, and the price. Reserved it about August 1st. Scheduled to be built in April, so maybe get it in June sometime. Most other options for a high mpg vehicle are just too pricey.

we were thinking about a subaru forester or hyundai santa fe, but have always wanted a truck. Never needed a huge rig or wanted to pay the crazy priecetag of a Ram or nice F150. Hell even Tacomas are much more exepensive than the Maverick. When I saw the mav and its pricetag and that it was hybrid and could get 40mpg, I said sign me up please. Hope it comes by end of year haha, ordered in august.

I was looking for decent sized current model station wagon. They don't exist this side of the Atlantic, and I don't want the price tag of a Volvo or a Benz. I figure a Mav with a cap will be pretty close in functionality to an old-school full-size wagon but look nicer. I've done the minivan thing, and they're fine, but I don't need all that seating anymore -- kids are grown, and four seats will be plenty, thanks.

After 100 miles in a Wildtrak 2dr, I realized there is way too much wind noise at 75+ MPH. I couldn’t hear a thing through SYNC. The one I was driving had 900 miles and was averaging 14.3MPG. I would also have to pick between smaller tires and the roof rack to fit in my garage. It looks gorgeous, but doesn’t make a great commuting vehicle.

I’ve driven about 1500 miles in a HybridXL Maverick and it is fantastic. I am buying a Lariat Hybrid this week, hopefully tomorrow if the dealer can get it from the ramp. It isn’t exactly what I want, but I think I can order a 23MY this summer and trade in this 22.

If I had decided on the hybrid engine, my alternative would have been a Civic.

If I had decided on the Ecoboost engine, my alternative would have been the Mazda 3 Hatchback.

If I had decided to option out my Maverick into the $30k+ price range, my alternative would have been a Golf GTI.

I ended up with a MSRP XLT Eco with Luxury package for $27k. My alternative Mazda3 Hatch wasn't available in any other color but black (not for me) and the dealer wasn't budging on their $1,300 market adjustment on EVERY vehicle on their lot, not just the Mazda 3's.

Traded-in my 2015 Ford Escape SE with 86k miles on it for $8,500. I had paid $10k to buy it off a private seller two years ago.

I just started looking at the Honda insight ex which is available right now
but with market adjustment, it is $30,000. My Maverick (if I ever get it) Hybrid Lariat Lux is only 32, a lot more vehicle for the money and the Honda only gets 5-10 more MPG.

a new Toyota Sienna XSE. Their wait time for an ordered vehicle is right at a year as well so went with the $15k cheaper option.
