Did a trip down to California ~800 miles through winter conditions and mountain passes with truck fully loaded 3 passengers, luggage etc. cruise control at 72-74mph and some off cruise control. Averaging 26-27mpg with city mix.

Maverick xlt with fx4 so no “eco” mode
Fuel: premium 91 octane for this trip

Right around 25. No highway miles but not too much stop and go. Lariat FX4 with 4K tow. Putting on a tonneau tomorrow and will see if it goes up a tenth or two.

Just after fill up went 71 highway miles. Stopped in traffic near home. 32.4 mpg.

I'm only 7 miles from work with a lot of traffic lights/stop signs plus hills. I'm getting low 20's for that kind of driving. But when I do get on the highways the MPG calculator starts to climb pretty quickly. I reset before one highway trip and was at just over 32mpg when I had to stop for traffic about 30 minutes into the trip....was stop and go from there. It's an Eco/Boost - you can have one or the other but not both! I'm getting better at managing the turbo now....haven't had a turbo since a Shelby Charger GLH-S back in the 80's (until I threw a rod in it). Had a little too much fun in that one....

You really need to put a couple thousand miles on it first so that everything breaks in before you really look at mileage.IMHO

.
On the past EB F150s I owned, mileage improved 3-4 mpg after 18k miles .

Curious what my mileage would be at 72-73 if I achieved this mostly 76+

First 145 miles mixed driving x 6 gallons = 24 mpg so far . xlt awd fx4 .

Same for mine. About 24 mg with about 60% city driving. I am at 1500 miles with about 4 fills with 87 octane. Last fill was 91 octane and made no difference.

I was hoping for better out of mine. I'm at 19?? Miles and so far the best I've gotten out of a tank of 26.? All on 87 octane. I want to run it as close to empty as I can on a 350ish mile trip home. And half way there is a station with 89(?) Octane ethanol free fuel. I am interested to see what the noticeable differences are.

I have very few miles on mine as I just picked it up this week. I also rarely drive since I work from home and when I do drive it's predominantly highway driving. Granted, this is the "lie o meter" so actual mpg is probably 2-3mpg lower but this is during a 50 mile trip that was probably 90% highway @ 65mph and the rest on the local streets to and from the highway. I rented a Maverick through Turo since there were none to test drive before ordering and this is exactly the kind of highway gas mileage I saw with the rented ecoboost awd Maverick too. It's all about keeping the little 2.0 liter engine out of boost unless absolutely necessary.

First road trip with the Maverick to Mammoth Lakes. 900+ miles driveway-to-driveway with all the side trips while at Mammoth - and I take speed limits as "recommendations" 🙄 . Mostly highway but a good bit of 2 lane in the mountains and CA 395 (where plenty of passing power came in really handy). Four adults with full bed of luggage, gear, snowboards, etc. I do use mostly Eco Mode but that lil' turbo will Boost just as well when needed in Eco mode - but you can only have one or the other (Eco/Boost), not both. As stated previously, keeping out of Boost greatly helps your mpg.
