LOL! That's a problem from the source. FM Radio has turned into overcompressed, low bit-rate garbage for most of the stations around me. Even with my high end home stereo tuner, nothing really sounds good anymore, except for NPR and one local listener supported station (WRFG). The feeds that most use now are worse than 128k MP3 quality.
I know what your saying and agree, however FM radio quality is not an issue in any other vehicle I drive or ride in. I live in metro Detroit so transmission towers fairly close in proximity. Daughter has 22 Bronco Sport and FM radio sounds great (it is a higher version of Sync). Wife has 2019 Flex and never thought twice about FM reception/quality. My old 2011 Edge had no issues with FM quality. Hell, my GMC work van has no issues at all with FM radio quality. I'm not looking for audiophile quality, just a consistent sound that does not drop fidelity as I drive along.

I do have to say that I did notice a very noticeable improvement on my problem stations (101 WRIF and 104.3 WOMC) I'm hoping the firmware update upgraded the decoding algorithm used for the FM radio!? We will see. Spend about 2 hours a day driving in the Maverick. So far I believe the radio firmware update has helped.

For those who prefer not to watch the video, here is the step-by-step process:
  1. Connect your vehicle to a WiFi network.
  2. Initiate a scan for updates (initially, it may not find any updates).
  3. Repeat the update scan (this time, it should start downloading an update, which may take 10-20 minutes).
  4. The update will automatically install (after installation, you may not notice any immediate changes).
  5. Turn off your vehicle and step away for 30-60 minutes.
  6. Power on your vehicle.
You should receive a prompt indicating that the installation is complete. You might hear an audio message over the speakers confirming a successful update.

Please note that there are no release notes available, so we can only assume that the update includes bug fixes and stability improvements.

For reference, I have a 2023 XLT Hybrid w/Luxury/Co-Pilot 360

Move it further away. I have found 5Ghz works better when the devices have some space between them. I run two 5Ghz networks in the house: one for IoT devices and one for everything else. My laptop will seem to always have a better connection to the access point further away. No idea why.
From a long term IT network guy. 2.4 GHz connection travels farther at lower speeds, while 5 GHz frequencies provide faster speeds at shorter range. Your choice of 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz will depend on where and how you use your WiFi connection most. 2.4GHz also tends to provide greater compatibility across legacy devices.

I am definitely claiming some ignorance on this and I am interested to learn: what made you decide on a separate 5Ghz network for IoT instead of a dedicated 2.4Ghz instead?

ISP access point is garbage but is required as it is also the modem. The Cisco WAP is a lot more open and can be set up to run through my PiHole. So, I put all of the IoT devices that require all the things the PiHole would block on the ISP access point and everything else runs through the Cicso one.

Well I got mine to download at around 5am this morning after unsuccessfully trying earlier in the day. Downloaded and installed. I’ll report any differences or improvements I see.

1 hour and 58 minutes to download and install, using my phone as a hotspot. I have fiber internet but the download never moved off 0% when connected to WiFi.

Did mine successfully this afternoon via my mesh WiFi. Once the download started, it moved along reasonably well. Once installed, it took quite a while before the new version showed up in the system software list.

I hadn't been having any issues so we'll see if anything new pops up.

I used my phones hot spot for Wi-Fi. Connected ok but download stopped at 47% and disconnected after waiting around 15 minutes.

Tried again and downloaded to 100% and got stuck again. Had to start engine after leaving it sit for awhile because of low battery warning. Let engine run for 15 minutes and it never changed. Stuck on downloading.

Turned truck off and let it sit for 30 minutes and checked to see if new version installed. Nope. Tried to download again and download would never start, stuck at 0%. Will try again later.

That’s odd because your download progress should not have been lost.

I haven't noticed any changes with the new firmware. I haven't had an AA Wireless connection error, but that was always random, so I'll have to give that more time. The backup camera is still not smooth video and it's still not bright enough.

Once it hit 100% it sat there for about 5 mins
