What was the Software Version before the update started?

What is the Software Version that you are downloading?

I just checked for updates and there are no updates available.

I just got my MY2023 Maverick on 9/22/2023 and this is the Software Version currently installed:

Ford Audio Software Version: G2.1.0.1_R22362A
Revision: G.2.1.0.1_Product_GG

This is the firmware that was released Feb 8, 2023.

See here: New Radio Software Update G2.1.0.1_R22362A

When the update completes let us know if the update version is newer than G2.1.0.1_R22362A

Just updated mine. Took about 10min using home wifi (truck parked in the garage).

After I received the audio acknowledgement, it still showed the previous version. I performed a hard reset (held power button and skip forward button) and when it came back up I received an "upgrade completed" notification on the screen.

I've done some googling but can't find any release notes for this version. Does anyone have a link to them?

A couple of ignition cycles will allow the new version to show (w/o starting vehicle, just turn key off, open & close door and turn ignition back to on, took mine a couple times doing this.)

I have never seen release notes for any of the Ford radio updates.

Finished updating mine as well. I think it took a fair bit longer than 10 minutes though. I got a weird message at 80% saying the password was rejected? It seemed like the WiFi disconnected. I reconnected (with the same saved password) and it finally finished. The installation step showed some odd messages like "Logging is already disabled" and I didn't get the audio "upgrade complete" until I did the reset.

I will be interested to see if there is any stability improvements. Since I've owned mine, I get random audio pops, USB playback glitches, and of course the USB scanning every time the vehicle re-starts. I somehow doubt I'll see any changes to those annoyances.

This screen says to check Ford Support or the FordPass app for what's included. That must be a joke. The App doesn't say anything and neither does Ford Support.

Even though it should be blazing fast via your Xfinity, some have avoided all the drama by going to an empty parking lot with good cell signal and just connecting the Mav to your phone via WiFi sharing.

Seen plenty of folks with the "My 2 gig fiber based router is literally inside my truck and I can't get it to move past 0%". They go somewhere away from WiFi networks and use their phone cell signal and it works perfectly.

I will try that later. Go up a mountain road should do the trick.

Move it further away. I have found 5Ghz works better when the devices have some space between them. I run two 5Ghz networks in the house: one for IoT devices and one for everything else. My laptop will seem to always have a better connection to the access point further away. No idea why.
