  1. Towed the car in 16' trailer with ease.

There was a guy at my local AutoX about a month ago that parked next to me. He was towing a Miata, so I asked him what his towing weight was... He said, "4k lbs". :) He seemed to think it did just fine... I don't know what the actual weight was.
  2. Well, that "L" button is pretty useless,,,

ACC is essentially a radar system. The vehicles have the ability to apply brakes. 360 packages will do so to avoid collisions. I have not tested ours on a "steep" hill, whatever that degree reference here is, but I've not had an issue with the speed wandering with cruise and I just used the...
  3. Well, that "L" button is pretty useless,,,

That's what engine braking does. Mine downshift, like nearly every auto vehicle I've ever had. I haven't looked to see if it applies brakes. Pretty sure all trims have the ability for brake control.
  4. Well, that "L" button is pretty useless,,,

Just brake... That's all you need to do. Brake and the RPM's will come down.
  5. Phonetography: Show your best camera phone pics - Mavericks ONLY!😝

It's actually a really fun car to drive. It's got a good balance, decent power, and fun to toss around. It is similar to my S2000, before I really started changing my S2000 with a turbo, aero, etc. I am running a tune-only on E50 and my Virtual Dyno was showing like 315whp/360wtq. I have a...
  6. Phonetography: Show your best camera phone pics - Mavericks ONLY!😝

All of mine are pretty generic... Nothing scenic. :)
  7. Moving to Phoenix can the maverick handle it?

If you're constantly topping off coolant, you would have issues. These vehicles should have no issue dealing with Phoenix heat.
  8. Ghost shifting in to neutral.

My daughter was driving my wife's Maverick. I have a Ranger.
  9. My 93 Octane Experiment! 2.0L EcoBoost Maverick

A lot of people are pretty oblivious to this stuff. Not a knock, but it's true. Hell, I'll make a minor change to a map that doesn't affect the way a car runs, but the customer will come back and say that the new revision "runs so much smoother" or the like. No, it doesn't, I only changed...
  10. My 93 Octane Experiment! 2.0L EcoBoost Maverick

I agree. I always said my cat-less turbo S2000 on E85 can pass the sniffer, but I never wanted to go through the hassle of trying to get it registered in CO. I am not against making things run cleaner, but if you set a standard and I pass it, I should be good.
  11. My 93 Octane Experiment! 2.0L EcoBoost Maverick

It's not knocking, it's just lugging. I have confirmed this on many occasions.
  12. My 93 Octane Experiment! 2.0L EcoBoost Maverick

I can fully understand. I was living in Colorado for a long time until about a year and a half ago. My Jeep diesel was a pain because I removed the DPF. I actually passed the opacity test without it, but failed the visual. I then had to put it back in every test, just to pull it back out so...
  13. My 93 Octane Experiment! 2.0L EcoBoost Maverick

I used to live at 8k feet until about a year and a half ago. With a small turbo, such as what is found here, you're actually creating more heat at high elevation as the turbo efficiency goes down. Couple that with less atmosphere to extract heat from the intercooler, you actually would do well...
  14. My 93 Octane Experiment! 2.0L EcoBoost Maverick

HP Tuners with the Ranger, Cobb with the Maverick.
  15. My 93 Octane Experiment! 2.0L EcoBoost Maverick

In both cases, the tune was free for me (see signature). I no longer live in a state with emissions, but this shouldn't really negativity impact emissions.
  16. My 93 Octane Experiment! 2.0L EcoBoost Maverick

On both my Ranger and Maverick, I tuned the transmission to get rid of this. Changing the shifting schedules makes a huge difference.
  17. Auto Start/Stop Delete (Disable) using FORscan!! Works and confirmed! [ADMIN WARNING: NO TROLLING]

My wife asked me to resort to this today... We have a Cobb AccessPort which will disable ASS (realtime), but it eventually turns itself back on. Now we don't have to wonder why the car got quiet and A/C warmed up randomly. :)
  18. Ghost shifting in to neutral.

My wife just had a similar issue. My daughter was driving and someone pulled out in front of her. She had to brake hard and then could not accelerate after. She had to put it back in drive. At the same time, it screwed up the radio where the screen went blank, but it kept playing music. They...
