New stereo firmware update available!

Once again updating the software is such a pain in the arse! You start the process and it just sits at 0% forever. Hopefully after I fumble around some more and wait for hours it will eventually work. I do not understand why Ford has to make this process so difficult!

No issues, if anything the update really stabilized a lot of things. Not noticing reverse camera lag anymore.

After the update my unit did drop the Bluetooth in the 8 minutes it takes for me to get to my kids school. That said it does seem more responsive in terms of picking up the phone through Bluetooth and transitioning to CarPlay. Fingers crossed!

Use your phone as a hotspot. Works every time for me.

That's what I did today, but I had to go somewhere that has full bars. I only have 2 bars at the house at that was not enough it seems. .

I think it is around 500 megs.

Still checking on that. After I got home I noticed that CarPlay would not load. Then when it would want to load it said I needed to wake my phone even though I have it in settings that I should not have to. After waking the phone it still would not load. So I wiped CarPlay clean, reset the radio, shut the truck off and it restarted fine. Stay tuned.

I tend to get easily frustrated with technology. For me a little bit of it goes a long way. I do enjoy CarPlay though, even though I find it a bit frustrating as well. Pretty much sums up why the only tech on my Maverick is standard equipment tech.

I have a 22 lariat luxury never updated the system but do have it connected to my home wifi and set to automatic updates. Never seen it update. Only issue I have that I just discovered is when playing xm radio the display in the dash displays the correct artist but the name of the song may or may not change. Not a big deal but a glitch nonetheless.

That's been an off/on problem with my 22 Lincoln Courssir since I got it almost 2 years ago.

Yeah, the last update I had to delete my phone from the truck and add it again, I expect to have to do it again. Thanks!
