I haven't noticed any changes with the new firmware. I haven't had an AA Wireless connection error, but that was always random, so I'll have to give that more time. The backup camera is still not smooth video and it's still not bright enough.
The brightness complaints are interesting to me. My screen is plenty bright no matter what I’m looking at on it.
There is a brightness setting for the screen and mine is on 50%.

Is it a Sync 3 system?

My update would not move off 0 with home WiFi. IPhone worked immediately. My problems were backup camera wouldn’t come on until I was out of the driveway and I always listen to music on USB but truck always started on FM. Backup camera is much improved and truck started on USB today. Thanks to all for sharing their expertise.

I wish this (or anything) would enable me to play Mp3 from inserting a flash drive in the usb insert
Ive tried it all
Excuse me if this is a silly question, but just in case …

You have the flash drive with the mp3s plugged into the data USB port, right (the one with the little icon on it)? And not just into a USB charging port?

That's been an off/on problem with my 22 Lincoln Courssir since I got it almost 2 years ago.
Yeah very wierd. What's odd is that the touchscreen is correct. But the display that is in the gauges sometimes right sometimes wrong. I do run android auto. Not sure if it always did this and I just noticed.

Well my maverick from my driving this week has dropped my Bluetooth signal each time I’ve been in the car. It only drops once so far on my short trips but it has happened every time. It has managed to reconnect all but one time by itself… so improvement?

From a long term IT network guy. 2.4 GHz connection travels farther at lower speeds, while 5 GHz frequencies provide faster speeds at shorter range. Your choice of 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz will depend on where and how you use your WiFi connection most. 2.4GHz also tends to provide greater compatibility across legacy devices.
100% accurate to the best of my knowledge.
i am most certainly NOT a IT guy but i do happen to use a Netgear Router/Modem (no more Cable rental fee's folks) that allows both a 2.4ghz & 5ghz home network simultaneously. i use the 5ghz which seems to be faster and better at handling IoT stuff : home security camera's/Roku's/Smart TV's and such. while favoring the the stronger more long range 2.4ghz for phones & tablets & laptop type applications that benefit from the longer range of that signal frequency vs the higher rate one.

I have tried but I think is everything yes I'm inserting the flash drive in the correct USB port yes the USB port has power I can charge a phone on it I have deleted my phone from the Android car system I have on a full format on flash drives and they are newer flash drives
no go never sees it
the truck will go in for basic oil change stuff down the road I'll ask the dealer there I'm not expecting any resolution via that route
I just use my phone now to play music I found a great music player so I don't even use that USB for a flash drive it doesn't work

?? What's the issue you have? My Lariat pops up my usb with mp3 but occassionally I have to pull it and plug it back in after starting the truck before it picks it up on the screen...somewhat of a nuisance and randomly acts up when starting.

Finally had a chance to drive the truck for the 1st time since the update. Still has glitches. Maybe its faster doing a scan of my USB. Still heard at least one audio "pop". Still does weird things like having a blank in the audio playing section, unable to make any changes to audio (even though it was playing from a USB playlist). Had to power off and back on to fix (not a reset, just a simple power button cycle). Ford software engineers still have some work to do on this steaming pile...
It still looses the entire library of the USB every time you power cycle the radio or turn off the truck. Why doesn't it just scan for changes? No, it has to re-populate every time and you are stuck waiting for the scan to complete before you can make any changes (other than just random play all).
