  1. Buy extended warranty?

There are lots of things people choose to spend money on for their Mavericks.i skipped some of those and got a ESP from Granger instead.
  2. Maverick Lariat Delivery after 9 months

Congrats. You will definitely be buying less fuel. Canā€™t understand why Honda doesnā€™t do a hybrid.
  3. Ford recalls 456K vehicles due to loss of drive power (undetected low battery issue); includes 2022-2023 Maverick Ecoboost & Hybrid

Iā€™m not sure this recall is related to your specific issue and your 23 was likely built outside of the date window so far listed. Oct 22. Sorry to hear about this though. I hope it is resolved quickly.
  4. 840 Miles • 1 Tank Fuel • Hybrid Maverick

My commute is just slightly less than yours at just under 10 miles each way. I have 4 lights and 2 stop signs. 15 minutes.. How much time is your commute? If there was ever a perfect profile for the hybrid Maverick it is definitely you.
  5. Thinking about giving up

I had a nightmare awhile back that I was driving down the road and the entire rear end fell out from under my truck. I have a hybrid so I have no rear end, which proves nightmares are not real. Most of the things you read about in this forum will likely not happen to you, but will cause an...
  6. Ford recalls 456K vehicles due to loss of drive power (undetected low battery issue); includes 2022-2023 Maverick Ecoboost & Hybrid

I t looks like both. If your Mav was built after 10/22 possibly not effected at all. Vin list not out yet, probably not for at least two weeks.
  7. Ford recalls 456K vehicles due to loss of drive power (undetected low battery issue); includes 2022-2023 Maverick Ecoboost & Hybrid

I have a MY 23 and have had previous required recalls done with no issues. This recall may apply to my MY23 but I donā€™t have an official recall specific to my VIN. Have not looked it up yet.
  8. Moving to Phoenix can the maverick handle it?

Well there are 5 million humans there in Phoenix so Iā€™d say people are making it. Im in Tucson so a little cooler. Tinted windows and windshield shade are a must. Otherwise youā€™ll be fine. I also notice heater has more effect on mpg than AC from my experience so far.
  9. A matter of perspective

Yeah many of the trucks running around today are ridiculously huge.
  10. Ford Maverick braking

I leave room between myself and the car in front of me at a stop because if I do happen to get bumped or hit in the rear Iā€™m have some space to possibly avoid hitting the stopped vehicle in front of me when I get hit. I think thatā€™s a good driving practice for everyone and here in Tucson itā€™s...
  11. Got recalls done and now my Hybrid Mav is full of problems.

I had my recalls done with my oil change a month ago and so far zero issues. In fact I have had zero issues since it came off the hauler back in August of 23. I just canā€™t understand why some are plagued with problems and others are not. No rhyme or reason to it. šŸ§
  12. CarPlay

    Likely itā€™s your cord.
  13. I thought Ford was done with a small EV pickup? [āš ļø ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS]

Good point. I just think the comparison of the transition from horse and buggy to ICE with the transition from ICE is EV is not of any value in the discussion. With a bit more range and better pricing, for me at least, the transition would be easy. I don't pretend that would be the case for many...
  14. TIRES Recall (Michelin 18” Primacy) for Model Year 2023 Maverick (issued 3/22/24, vehicles affected: 115)

Well thats my tire but I'm outside of the install window. Thank you @Darnon and @ABMich !
  15. I thought Ford was done with a small EV pickup? [āš ļø ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS]

I think affordability was most likely the biggest reason for push back on gasoline automobiles back in that day and there were not almost 300 million horse and buggy with many of them hauling tons and tons of freight all over the country either. Once the affordability was addressed ICE vehicles...
